_{Life Itself}

You hardly get to see a person who chooses to be lonely or made it a choice. It is all because of a bad experience or a negative past. The feeling gotten can be traumatic and rub off in ways we can't see or refuse to admit to ourselves. Choosing to deviate from the truth even makes it a lot tougher to deal with, and being ignorant about the whole thing even makes it worse.

This is a thread of thought that kept ringing in my head while I was watching the movie Life itself. When a scene from the movie where the guy poetically answered the lady's question on why he hasn't asked her out, blows my mind, so it was only fair if I watched it. For this review, I will talk about the things the movie made me super scared of.

_{In the moment}

LONELINESS

As they say,

Loneliness kills faster than cancer.

This quote and who said it first was really on to something or on something. The idea that loneliness kills faster than cancer is truly emotional for anyone to bear and the movie Life Itself showed it all. With the display of talented acting and good scripting, it was really hard to deny that Oscar Isaac was simply top-notch. The way he switched with his roles, from being a man who had his life all figured out to a person who has nothing but despair and misery to show for it, even after being institutionalized. His role as a man who lost his loving pregnant wife to an unpleasant accident, but the baby survived is simply dynamic and symbolizes how a man could have it all figured out and then at a given moment lose it all. We could decide to omit the fact that life is some sick psycho filled with too many complications and unsolving revolutions as well, but what still stands to remain true is life is more of the moment than the future. How Oscar Isaac lost it all tells us that sometimes things could just go bizarre and we could lose it too.

Grief can be worse than Death

The loss of a person can be quite devastating but have you ever thought of the people left behind and how they felt? Losing the person is one thing, but grieving over that person is another. The loss of Abby, Will Dempsy's wife, could be entirely impossible for Will to cope with such a huge loss at an unexpected time. This leads him into what I could call a psychotic breakdown, getting him institutionalized. His Behavior is entirely different from normal7, less concerned about what happens to anyone anymore and even his child who he abandons with his grandparent. Bold

The Loss of a Parent can change a child

Ever after Abby's death, the innocent soul that had to go through this grief alone and still felt more pain from more losses, for the baby girl Dylan. She grew up to be rebellious and cold towards the world, which happens to her form of coping with losses. Imagine losing your mother first, followed by your father from suicide, then your grandmother, and finally left with your grandfather who is also suffering from the losses like her but pretending like all is fine. It's sad cause it isn't her fault, just one of that misfortune that comes with life. But the only upside I could see from it was how strong of a woman she became.

After watching the movie for about an hour and more, it dawned on me that life can come with shit and serve it to us without our permission, but where it gets better is when we still choose to create our narratives.
