Movie Review: Citadel Season 2
It was way back in 2023 when Prime Video released the first season of the spy thriller drama, Citadel. To me, it was a mixture of both James Bond vibes and 24 hours. Although the story was a bit over-stretched with the concept of mind control through chips and the idea of a superhuman soldier, who has been programmed to kill. Due to the long wait until the release of the second season in 2026, the series introduced a brief intro to get fans up to date on what had happened. It was a well-done concept, and the icing on the cake was the voice of Stanley Tucci, who has a very good voice. The well-articulated kind, and you can hear him speak clearly.
Right from the second season, one could tell that there is a huge difference, and I am not just talking about the introduction of new characters; I am talking about the direction of the story. It was more detailed this time around, with each episode packed with action. In the first season of the series, it was about an introduction into the various spy organizations and the development of the characters, especially Richard Madden playing Mason Kane and Priyanka Chopra playing Nadia Sinh. They both played the lead role in the series, especially in the first season, which was focused on both of them recovering their memories and coming to terms with what they had done. This is where the difference becomes clear. In the second season, there is a common enemy, and that is Mr Braga, who is on a mission to make a killing machine in the form of an assassin. This puts the series in a whole new limelight because the villain character, Mr Braga, is some annoying piece of work.
Also, I have to share some light on the fact that this is the first action movie I am watching with Priyanka Chopra in it. I know she has been in a couple of other action movies like Bluff, which is also on Prime Video, but I have not watched it. If I were to rate her performance, it would be an outstanding 9 out of 10, not because she is gorgeous, but because she can act. I was surprised by her body movement in the fight scene and the use of weapons. She was on point, and honestly, the main reason I kept watching. You know that aspect where a series hangs on the presence of a specific actor, well, I think this was the case for the series for me. Priyanka kept it going with her acting and the cold shoulder look she gave to Mason Kane when she found out he was the reason why they found themselves in the mess that they found themselves in. It is not easy to look at the person you love as the person who is also responsible for your problem.
With the prime acting from her, I could hold off with the series down to the end of the second season. Also, there is some comic relief with the introduction of new characters like Jack Reynor and Gabriel Leone to keep the series going in its new direction. I sincerely hope we get a third season; either way, I have prepared my mind for the next 3 years.

Hello everyone I hope you are all good and well today in this post is some of the evidence to prove my case
If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
