Destroying Lobbies With The New Free Nova Skin In Third Person Perspective🔫 (Blood Strike)

After the recent problem I had with my phone, I somehow found a way to keep it powered on and working for now. Instead of sitting around overthinking everything, I decided to do what usually helps me take my mind off things, play some games. Sometimes, a good gaming session is all you need to temporarily forget about everything else going on around you. While playing, I discovered that a new free Nova skin had been given to players, and getting it didn't require spending any money. All I had to do was complete a set of tasks. Interestingly, I had already played the game a few days ago and completed every single task required for the skin. I just hadn't claimed it yet, so the reward had simply been sitting there waiting for me.
As soon as I entered the game, I went straight to claim it. Along with the Nova skin, I also collected the other little rewards that came with completing the tasks. After that, I downloaded the skin, and finally, it was ready to be used in an actual match. Of course, I wasn't going to waste time. I entered a lobby and immediately rushed to select Nova because I didn't want another player picking the character before me. 😂 After all the excitement of finally getting a free skin for her, I wanted to be the one putting it to use.
For those who have played Blood Strike for a long time, you already know that Nova is one of the most loved characters in the game. There is something about her poisonous theme and the way her abilities work that makes her stand out. But Nova isn't really a character you can just pick up and dominate with immediately. Her abilities require good timing, proper positioning, experience, and most importantly, good aim. To me, Nova is almost the pure definition of skill. Whenever I see a really good player using Nova, I'm automatically more careful because I already know that player probably understands exactly how to use her abilities. I don't just rush toward them carelessly. I have to push with caution because one wrong move can put me in a very bad situation.
Nova's first ability revolves around throwing poisonous gas. Once the gas reaches an enemy, it begins dealing damage to them. The real danger comes when you combine the poisonous gas with your weapon. While the gas is damaging the enemy, you can continue shooting them, putting even more pressure on them and potentially eliminating them much faster. Her secondary ability works differently. Instead of throwing the poisonous gas toward the enemy, you take in the gas yourself. Once you activate it, you have a limited amount of time to shoot an enemy before the effect wears off. During that period, your bullets become poisonous, allowing you to deal additional damage whenever your shots connect. And honestly, I think understanding when to use each ability is what separates an average Nova player from a really good one. For me, there are two situations where I would use Nova's abilities differently.
- Close range fights — use the first ability.
Whenever an enemy is close enough and you know you're about to get into a serious fight, throwing the poisonous gas directly at them before shooting is probably the better option. The gas starts damaging them immediately, while you follow up with your weapon. This gives you an advantage because the enemy isn't only dealing with your bullets; they're also taking damage from the poisonous gas. For short range fights, I think this is where Nova's first ability really shines. The enemy doesn't have much room to escape, and if your aim is good enough, you can combine both sources of damage and finish the fight quickly. - Long range fights — use the secondary ability.
Long range fights are completely different. If you throw the poisonous gas toward an enemy who is far away, there's a good chance they'll simply move away from it. You could end up wasting your ability while also revealing your position to the enemy.
This is where I think the secondary ability becomes much more useful. Instead of throwing the gas at the enemy, you take it in and then use your weapon to attack them. Your bullets become poisonous, meaning that every successful shot can continue putting additional pressure on the enemy. Even if the enemy tries to run away after being hit, they're still dealing with the effects of your poisonous shots. This makes the ability particularly useful when you're fighting someone at a distance and don't want to rely on the gas staying in one specific location. Of course, this is just how I personally think Nova should be used. There are probably players out there who have mastered her abilities far better than I have and have completely different strategies. That's one of the things I enjoy about Blood Strike: different players can use the same character in completely different ways.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to win this particular match. But honestly, I didn't even feel too bad about the loss because I had a really enjoyable game. For once in a long time, Blood Strike actually gave me a good set of teammates, and that made a huge difference. We were communicating through our movements, supporting each other and somehow managed to make it really far into the match. And even though we didn't come out as the winners, I know the enemies definitely felt my presence. 😂 Getting that free Nova skin and immediately taking it into a real match was exactly what I needed. It gave me something fun to focus on and allowed me to enjoy the game without worrying too much about everything else happening with my phone.
I might actually play more Blood Strike if my phone continues to cooperate with me. For now, I'm just happy I was able to keep it running long enough to enjoy the game, claim the new free skin and finally put my new Nova skin into battle. Thanks for reading, and as always, stay tuned for more gameplay. 🎮🔥
