A Colorful Marriage in our society
A grand event in our society on the day of Holi adding more colors
They started a new beginning in life and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. As I said in my last post, this was on the evening of Holi, ending the day with more colors. It is customary in our culture for the bridegroom to go to the wedding venue. And the groom's procession is the most enjoying part, in our marriage.
The groom is from our apartment society and an air conditioned mini van was arranged for our society's people to join in the wedding procession. It felt as if we went for a mini picnic. It's a lot of fun to dance to the tunes of loud music and the groom himself came out and danced to few tunes, along with their relatives. Our ladies group did match to the tunes nicely , which you can watch in the video.
On entry they did serve some drinks and starters in limited quantity - the groom holding the coconut and waiting for the bride's side to come for the early rituals and welcome.
The wedding reception was arranged at Taj Vivanta with some great decorations from the bride side.
The entry of the bride was no less than a bolywood movie, after which they both exchanged garlands with some nice fireworks to capture these moments.
As you can see a separate pandal was set for the customary rituals to happen afterwards - the essential part of any Hindu marriage.
And then some great combinations of starters in both veg and non-veg followed by large collection of main courses.
As we went in a large group, the time was pretty enjoying - trying out different foods and capturing some nice moments. The wedding hall was big enough to accommodate large number of crowds - they did arrange several places serving the same menu, making it easier for the guests to pick and enjoy. Usually this becomes an issue, if many people come at the same time.
By the time we came back it was more than 12'o clock in the midnight, but the journey in that mini van was quite a fun, laying the foundation stone of a picnic that probably would happen soon.
Congratulations to the newly weds to start a new life and may their love grow stronger and deeper through each passing day. As a tradition, a separate reception is arranged from the groom's side on the fourth day of the marriage and this was hosted at MAYFAIR Convention, a place lot nearby to our apartment. Most of the people from our society attended this function, may be for that reason.
The food choice was great here as well, serving at one place, unlike the previous venue. The guest list seemed to be covering maximum guests from our society - all known faces enjoying the food, and taking some nice snaps.
Overall a nice evening spent with some good captures in this great ambience. I hope you get a feel of our Hindu marriage from this post, though there are lot of rituals that are practiced, which did not make here.

Hello dear friend @sanjeevm good day
I loved the video, you can see the colorful celebration and how much fun they had.
What beautiful traditions they have, I love how they celebrate marriage unions
I appreciate that you share these traditions and the beautiful photographs
have a nice day
It's the most celebrated function.
Wow gorgeous wedding, groom and bride are so beautiful.
@threespeak team, it appears, the video does pause a lot, both in peakd as well as 3speak.tv. Any particular reason ? I shared the link and it feels bad to discover that people are not able to see it flawless and continuous.
Agreed Sanjeevm... though the 3speakTV interface is just known to do that actually. Most videos do not even play for me here in Europe.
I really felt bad - they definitely need to fix this and scale better.

All arranged for 10 points. It can be seen that everyone is happy and happy. The newlyweds are so beautiful, especially the groom is very happy. I congratulate the young people and with all my heart I wish you strong ties, a friendly family, eternal love, a rich life, absolute mutual understanding.
The truth is that yes, my friend, congratulations to the newlyweds, I see, it was an incredible wedding party, and sharing with friends is always a special occasion.
Ha, i got the feeling you and your family have a wedding invitation every second week. 😁 I'd love to be part of one of these one day.
We do have some specific timeline ( based on our calendar) during which dates are finalized based on their astrological match. So we get lot of events at that time. You must feel it once.
Thanks a lot for your response. That you are choosing the days based on your astrological calendar makes much sense to me and sounds very interesting. May you can tell us a bit more about that someday. 🙏
Some nice photographs, I wish new couple a happy married life. You and your is also looking very beautiuful. What is the age differet between you and your wife ?
5 years.
What an amazing celebration. Everyone looked wonderful in all those colorful garments.
Congratulations to the bride and groom.
Thank you so much.
Wow, really i am speechless! This marriage looks like a fairy tale! I hope never my wife see your post, because she would feel so jealous of this one, that she would complain to me for our marriage party, to eternity! Haha! Great post, as always!
True, but what we had in our time was not bad, let us be happy with whatever we have.
:) quite an event!
i like that sparkler gun! and those lighted umbrellas!
GET DOWN LADIES!! 👯♀️💃
True, quite an event.
Wow Sanjeev, that is like something out of a Bollywood movie!
So colourful, what was the blue drink your son was drinking?
Thanks for sharing this amazing wedding with us, and I have shared it on threads
Do you know we are collaborating with Leo Finance, and they gave us a big LP delegation to curate silverbloggers threads.
It might not be as colourful as your wedding, but they are fun too.
If you pop over there, make sure to use #silverbloggers for a tag and we shall swing round and see you.
I would try to do some threads.
What can I say, everything is posh! Also, credit goes to the photographer and the quality of the camera.
Yes, it's quite apparent from the video.
Did you get nostalgic? Did you collect those memories when you were a groom who spearheaded the procession?
All the best wishes to the newly married couple.
I always get nostalgic and try to enjoy to the fullest. May be you will see a much better procession soon, we literally try to get lost dancing to the tunes for hours.
And by the way the photographer was me with my Samsung M31S phone, getting a new camera soon.
Wow, simply wow, M31S simply outperforms. But a DSLR with full gear including a gimble would bring together another level of photographic experience. Thank you.
Man!!
India wedding celebration has to be one of the finest and lovely events. This is really more than the Bollywood movies I see.
Thanks buddy for sharing with us@sanjeevm. I must say this is very lovely. I see your whole family was present
Wedding home means fun, this is how desi weddings actually happen
Many many congratulations to the new couple. Here in Pakistan too, weddings are done in the same way and the present is decorated in the same way as it is done in your wedding. The decoration and color combination of everything looks very good and all the people who have come to the wedding are also very well dressed. We pray that those who are married find much happiness in their lives in the coming days.
I love the colors, marriage on my culture could easily switch its place in colors with a burial and people would not notice it, but I love how vibrant and alive the weddings are on your culture, like what it is supposed to be, a celebration of life and vows of love! Lovely wedding, and I love to see you and your family smiling so much with the happiness of the bride and the groom :)
That is the best part, everyone gathers for that.
That's indeed a colorful wedding. It also looks like an intimate one.
Congratulations to the newlyweds! Happy for them.
