Hello dear friends of Hive and Sketchbook!!

Today I am sharing with you a work that I have been working on for several days. For this occasion I bring you a very old environment in which the great train is the protagonist. A small town very close to the mountains waits every morning for this great friend to be directed to the big cities or the farthest towns besides that one. This process was a little more complicated than the rest since there was not only one house but several in all this scenery. I hope you like it a lot and you can enjoy this post.

En el día de hoy les comparto un trabajo en el que he estado varios días trabajando. Para esta ocasión les traigo un ambiente bastante antiguo en el que el gran tren es el protagonista. Un pequeño pueblo muy cerca de las montañas espera todas las mañanas este gran amigo para ser dirigido a las grandes ciudades o los más lejanos pueblos a parte de ese. Este proceso fue un poco más complicado que el resto ya que no solo había una casa si no varias en todos este escenario. Espero les guste mucho y puedan disfrutar de este post.

I will always start with my sketch. I will use the Lapiz 6B and with that I will do everything up to the final finish ready for inking. For the big train I looked for some references that helped me to make it as good as possible, so I continued until the end of the sketch.

Empezaré siempre con mi boceto. Usare el Lapiz 6B y con ello haré todo hasta el acabado final listo para entintar. Para el gran tren busque algunas referencias que me ayudaron a realizarlo lo mejor posible, así seguí hasta el final del boceto.

Then I will be applying all the base colors. These colors can be varied in the process as I almost always do. I will fill it all with the lasso tool and then start with the details.

Luego estaré aplicando todos los colores base. Estos colores pueden ir variando en el proceso como suelo hacer casi siempre. Lo rellenare todo con la herramienta de lazo para luego empezar con los detalles.

From this point on, all the drawing will be pure detail and texture until the end. The first thing I did was to hide all the colors and work on each piece separately and polish them as best as possible. I did this with the purpose of working better and easier so I wouldn't get confused with so many things in this stage. I was implementing the Watercolor Brush 1 and Willow Brush.

A partir de aquí todo el dibujo será puro detalle y textura hasta el final. Lo primero que hice fue ocultar todos los colores e ir trabajando en cada pieza por separado y pulirlas lo mejor posible. Esto lo hice con el propósito de trabajar mejor y más fácil para no confundirme con tantas cosas en este escenario. Estuve implementando los pinceles de Acuarela 1 y pincel de Sauce

From here and using these brushes, I will be doing all the final finishing of the illustration. This process takes a lot of time since you have to be very observant when applying each detail. I will also be balancing all the colors until I get the best one to my liking.

A partir de acá y utilizando estos pinceles, estaré realizando todo el acabado final de la ilustración. Este proceso lleva mucho tiempo ya que tienes que ser muy observador al aplicar cada detalle. También iré balanceando todos los colores hasta obtener el mejor para mi agrado.

I altered and changed the colors until I got warmer and cozier colors as I always like to use hehe. The details have been quite a process, it was also quite exhausting but at the same time a lot of fun for me. I continued like this until I moved on to the background.

Los colores los fui alterando y cambiando hasta obtener colores más cálidos y acogedores como siempre me gusta usar jeje. Los detalles a sido todo un proceso, también fue bastante agotador pero a la vez muy divertido para mí. Seguí así hasta pasar a la parte del fondo.

To make the mountains and the sky, use the same brushes mentioned above in warm tones but with a cool touch. I applied the colors very softly until I got the right saturation.

Para realizar las montañas y el cielo, utilice los mismos pinceles mencionados anteriormente en tonos cálidos pero con un toque frío. Fui aplicando los colores muy suavemente hasta obtener la saturación adecuada.

Almost at the end of this illustration I was making the lights of the houses and some of the windows of the train. Applying a quite intense yellow color with the overexposure function found in the layer options, this with the purpose of giving more vividness to the color. Then to the windows of the train I was adding a layer on top and multiplying it to give the effect of light inside the wagon.

Ya casi finalizando esta ilustración estuve realizando las luces de las casas y de algunas de las ventanas del tren. Aplicando un color amarillo bastante intenso con la función dé sobrexposición que se encuentra en las opciones de capa, esto con la finalidad que darle más viveza al color. Luego a las ventanas del tren le estuve agregando una capa encima y multiplicarla para dar el efecto de luz dentro del vagón.

Finally, I was adding some details and a touch up in all the color. And that's it folks! It was a long way to do this illustration, but I really liked the result. Ya para finalizar estuve agregando algunos detalles y un retoque en todo el color. Y listo amigos! Fue un largo camino realizando esta ilustración, pero el resultado realmente me gusto mucho.
