I Treasured My Life More From That Day

Source

Hello amazing hivers. I trust you've been having an awesome day?

I'm delighted to be sharing with you on this edition of our engagement prompt and it's a very interesting one because it made me go down a very long memory lane. 😀 😊

When I was a little girl, about 5-6 years of age, I was little in size.
My body size accounted for how I was able to hide in our standing freezer when I and my older sister were doing hide and seek. Of course, she couldn't find me, I mean who plays hide and seek game and go hides in the freezer?😆 but it wasn't funny then.
She looked for me for a long while until she became very scared and started to cry.
That was when I felt bad about the game I was playing, mistakenly made some noise in the freezer, whose sound she traced until she found me. I will never forget the shock on her face that hot afternoon.

This other day, it was a cool evening, just the perfect time and weather for my sister and I to play another game, but this one was more serious than the last.

There was a place in my father's room where my Dad kept his car keys so whenever the driver comes in the morning and my Dad wasn't yet ready for work, we could give it to him. I'm still thinking how we knew the particular spot where the keys were because my Mum was so strict about that.

Now, we did not intend to go towards the car keys but I don't just know what took us there and we picked up the keys and went straight to my Dad's car.

Now you would think that we wanted to start the car 😅😅 nooooo we were going to do something else but less dangerous and equally fearful.😉

My sister opened the car's trunk and got in. She told me I should hold the trunk so it won't close her in and I agreed. She got in and stayed there for a few minutes, giggling, before coming out.
Now it was my turn to get inside the trunk and remember, this was in the evening, it had gotten dark already.

With excitement, I jumped in and the next thing I knew, my sister closed it on me.

Boy! I saw my life flash before my eyes. I was screaming at the top of my voice, regretting why I joined my sister to do such nonsense and now, I was going to die.
I was so terrified amd kept screaming and crying, because I was unable to breathe.

Due to panic, my sister that was the grand master of opening my Dad's car trunk suddenly forgot how to open it and kept trying it with fear.

Finally, she got it open and I jumped out!!

I was still shaking and unable to speak. I was so angry with her for her carelessness. I kept to my word by keeping the trunk from closing when she was inside and when it was my turn, she closed it on me. In fact, I felt like she betrayed me. What if something bad had happened to me that evening?

I later found out from movies and from the animals like goats and chicken that my parents put in the car's trunk that breathing was possible in the there but because of fear, I was unable to breathe that evening.

Since that day, I promised never to play in that manner or to even go near the trunk of the car.... Never Again....

That'd be all for now...

Till next time beautiful soul... ❤️❤️
