Avatar: La Leyenda de Aang, una serie del año 2005 estrenada en Nickelodeon, a decir verdad esta serie la vi recientemente, aunque cuando era niña y tenía TV por cable veía su propaganda, pero nunca me llamo la atención hasta recientemente que la vi en la plataforma de Netflix.
Su historia es bastante original, la cual trata de un mundo que se divide en 4 naciones y cada nación es un elemento como la tierra, el fuego, el agua y el aire, cada uno posee una cultura muy semejante a la de los antiguos imperios como el chino que sería el reino de la tierra, el imperio japonés que sería la nación del fuego, los nómadas del aire que claramente serían los nómadas del Tíbet y por último los de la nación del agua que serían las personas que viven en lugares muy fríos de la tierra.
Cada una tiene su cultura y poder, dependiendo de que nación sea su poder será ese, si nació en el reino tierra y su familia son maestros, pues ese niño será un maestro tierra, por último también existen personas sin poder, pero entre ellos existe un ser muy poderoso, este puede controlar los 4 elementos y es el puente entre el mundo normal y el mundo espiritual, así es existe un mundo espiritual, este es el Avatar y es quien mantiene el mundo en total equilibrio, buscando la paz y la prosperidad entre las 4 naciones.
Antes de comenzar te aviso que esta review contiene spoiler, así le damos inicio a esta gran historia
Aquí comienza la historia del Avatar Aang, este se encuentra desaparecido y durante 100 años el mundo ha caído en el caos, ya que la nación del fuego comenzaría esta guerra y como dice la intro muy famosa por varios memes: “Pero todo cambio cuando la nación del Fuego ataco”, entonces todos esperan el regreso del avatar para acabar con esta guerra y regresar a tiempos de paz.
Todo comienza en la Tribu agua del sur, unos hermanos adolescentes llamados Sokka y Katara se encuentran pescando en las proximidades de la tribu, estos se encuentran discutiendo, ya que Sokka es muy inmaduro con su hermana, Katara desde hace mucho tiempo se dio cuenta de que es maestra agua, pero esta no sabe como usar el poder, así que durante su molestia con Sokka esta usa su poder sin pensar y destruye un iceberg del cual emerge el iceberg donde se encontraba una persona y un enorme bisonte volador, este brillaba y era bastante extraño.

Katara decide ayudar a esta persona que se encontraba congelada en esta montaña de hielo y tras romper todo este hielo y de allí surge una luz hacia el cielo y de este sale un niño sin cabello llamado Aang y su bisonte llamado Appa, este les cuenta que es un maestro aire, los dos hermanos se asombran, ya que según saben los maestros del aire están extintos, Aang les comenta que no cree porque había muchos maestros en el pasado, obviamente Sokka y Katara quedan asombrados, pero quieren contarle la verdad a Aang.
Por otra parte, nos muestran los que serían los antagonistas de la serie hasta cierto punto, estos serían Zuko y tio de Zuko llamado Iroh quien es un general de alto rango y ambos pertenecen a la nación del fuego, estos están en la búsqueda del Avatar, ya que Zuko príncipe de la nación del fuego fue desterrado y enviado a esta misión de capturar al avatar para recuperar su honor.
Estos ven el rayo de luz y de inmediato se dirigen hacia esta señal que para Zuko puede ser del avatar.
Durante este episodio conocemos más del avatar y su poder, pero tras enviar la señal del rayo de luz y también por estar de curiosos y entrar a un barco abandonado de la nación del fuego, envían una, véngala al cielo sin querer, detectando así la ubicación del avatar, Zuko se dirige hacia esta tribu indefensa y pequeña y ataca a los habitantes, pero Aang para evitar más daño se entrega.
Katara y Sokka deciden ayudarlo y tras buscar a Appa y hablar con su abuela para ayudarlo, salen inmediatamente en búsqueda de Aang, estos luchan y el avatar logra escapar dando inicio a este gran viaje lleno de muchas aventuras.

Por otra parte, Zuko llega a un pequeño muelle de la nación del fuego y este se encuentra con el general Zhao otro de los antagonistas de la serie, este habla con Zuko sobre el avatar y tras sus discusiones deciden pelear, lo cual a esto le llaman Agni Kai, tras pelear Zuko sale victorioso y como Zhao como es mal perdedor decide atacar a Zuko por la espalda, Iroh tío de Zuko lo defiende y le dice que es un acto vergonzoso por su parte.
Continuando con la historia, Aang, Katara y Sokka siguen en su viaje y estos llegan al templo aire del sur, un lugar sagrado y en donde Aang vivió toda su niñez, este ve que no hay nadie y se da cuenta de que es cierto lo que le paso a todos los nómadas, Aang les cuenta que conoció a un maestro que fue como un padre para él, el monje Gyatso, mientras siguen investigando Aang se encuentra con otro animal y quien sería el nuevo personaje que se uniría al grupo, su nombre es Momo y es un lémur volador.

Mientras Aang investigaba se consigue por coincidencia el cuerpo de quien fue un padre para él, el monje Gyatso había luchado con muchos maestros fuego y estos le arrebataron la vida, allí él activa un poder conocido como el Estado Avatar, un poder desconocido para Aang, Katara decide ayudarlo y a calmarlo, pero este poder causo que todos los templos en donde adoran al Avatar se iluminara y diera el regreso del Avatar al mundo.
Estos se van del templo y deciden continuar con su viaje.
El equipo Avatar viaja por todo el reino tierra y van conociendo diferentes pueblos, los cuales están siendo anotados por la nación del fuego, también visitan pueblos como la Isla de Kyoshi un lugar muy lindo y tranquilo en donde adoran a un avatar anterior llamada Kyoshi, estos ayudan a Aang y los mantiene a salvo, también conocemos a las guerreras Kyoshi quienes al principio pensaban que el grupo avatar eran enemigos, pero se dan cuenta de que es el Avatar actual, su líder Suki decide liberarlos y ayudarlos, todo está tranquilo hasta que por rumores de que Aang se encontraba en esta isla y Zuko llega y ataca la isla.

Durante su viaje conocen más del reino tierra, estos llegan a Omashu el cual es una ciudad enorme y en donde Aang jugaba con su viejo amigo Bumi, el rey los atrapa y decide imponer pruebas a Aang hasta que este se da cuenta de que es su viejo amigo.

Luego de esto conocemos sobre el mundo espiritual y aprendemos más de un espíritu llamado Hei Bai quien ataca a los lugareños cercanos, Aang lo ayuda y de esta forma salva a los habitantes, por otra parte, el Avatar Roku quien fue el antecesor de Aang le pide que vaya al templo fuego para saber la verdad de lo que está pasando, Aang y su equipo avatar van hacia alla, pero estos son intervenidos por Zuko y Zhao, aun asi Aang logra llegar a Roku habla sobre todo lo que sucede.
Conocemos más y más de la historia y durante su viaje conocemos más personajes, como Jet quien es un rebelde quien lucha por salvar a su pueblo de la nación del fuego, pero esta lucha la lleva a un punto equivocado, también en otro episodio Aang es capturado por Zhao y un personaje llamado “El Espíritu Azul” ayuda a Aang a escapar, pero durante su escape, este “Espíritu” termina herido y Aang lo ayuda a escapar ademas de cuidarlo hasta que recuperar la conciencia.
Durante su viaje, Aang y Katara deben aprender a controlar el agua, así que practican durante su viaje, también conocemos a un maestro fuego quien está en contra de la guerra y todo lo de la nación del fuego y gracias a un ex soldado de la nación los lleva a este maestro para así enseñarle a Aang Fuego control, pero este al creer que tenía todo bajo control quema a Katara, Aang se frustra y decide no hacer fuego control nunca más, Katara por su parte trata de sanarse y se da cuenta de que tiene un poder muy importante el cual es único en los maestros agua, Zhao los ataca, pero este pierde y el equipo avatar escapa nuevamente y así se dirige a la tribu agua del norte.
En los últimos episodios de este libro, el equipo avatar llega a la Tribu agua del norte, un lugar lleno de maestros y quienes han resistido a la guerra de los 100 años gracias a la tundra fría del ártico, estos son recibidos de buena forma y Sokka se enamora de una chica cabello blanco quien es hija del líder de la tribu su nombre es Yue, mientras tanto Zuko perdía su tripulación por petición del almirante Zhao quien tiene pensado invadir con una flota masiva a la tribu agua del norte, ya que tiene un plan, Zuko tras perder su tripulación queda solo en el barco, su Tío Iroh salió a caminar, el barco de zuko es atacado y destruido junto con él.

Mientras tanto, Aang y Katara van a aprender Agua control con el maestro Pakku, pero este se niega enseñarle a Katara por ser mujer, ya que en su tribu solo los hombres luchan y las mujeres son sanadoras, Katara y Aang se niegan a esta enseñanza, pero Aang no tiene más que aprender de este maestro egoísta.
Katara aprende más de la sanación y durante las noches aprende con Aang sobre las técnicas de agua, pero Pakku se da cuenta y decide no enseñarle más al Avatar, Katara decide Pelear contra Pakku y si lo vence le enseñará a los dos, pero tras derrotar a Katara Pakku ve el collar que la abuela de Katara le dio a su nieta, Pakku lo reconoce e inmediatamente se disculpa.
Sokka por su parte, sigue conquistando a la princesa Yue y mientras la llevaba a volar con Appa se da cuenta de la cantidad de barcos de la nación del fuego, inmediatamente avisa a todos en la tribu y estos se preparan para el ataque.
Katara ya entrenada y Sokka adolorido porque su novia la princesa ya estaba comprometido con otra persona, Aang sigue su entrenamiento y se prepara para el combate, por otra parte, Zuko estaba vivo y con ayuda de su tío logra acercarse hasta llegar a la tribu por unos túneles.

Comienza el ataque y la tribu logra aguantar con mucha dureza, pero como se sabe la Luna apoya mucho a los maestros agua, así que la nación del fuego detiene su ataque por toda la noche, Aang decide meditar en el punto mas espiritual de la tribu y hogar de los espiritus de la luna y el oceano, Aang decide ir al mundo de los espiritus a buscarlos para ayudar a la tribu, pero mientras este medita Zuko lo ataca y katara lo defiende, pero esta pierde y Zuko se lleva a Aang secuestrado.

Durante otro día de ataque, la tribu no aguanta y comienzan a perder terreno, Zhao se acerca más y más al santuario donde se encuentran los espíritus, ya que su objetivo es matar al espíritu de la luna y acabar con los maestros agua. Mientras Aang sigue en el mundo de los espíritus, Roku le dice que debe ir a conocer a Koh, un espíritu muy peligroso porque lo conocen por robar rostros, Aang lo visita y este le dice que los espíritus están ya en el mundo normal desde hace mucho tiempo.
Tras saberlo regresa al mundo normal y es rescatado por sus amigos y a su vez ayudan a Zuko por segunda vez, ya que este del ataque termina desmayado, durante su regreso Zhao llega al santuario y mata al espíritu, Iroh trata de ayudar, pero al ver que no hay posibilidad de rescatar la vida del espíritu Aang entra en estado avatar y junto con el espíritu del océano luchan contra la nación del fuego salvando así a la tribu, mientras que Yue da su vida, ya que gracias al espíritu ella puede vivir, así que le devuelve el favor y muere para así salvar al espíritu y a la luna, terminando el Libro uno de esta increíble serie.
Tuve que resumir muchisimos acontesimientos, pero aun asi es de las mejores series que he visto y aunque esta temporada es bastante larga y con bastantes momentos graciosos e interesantes, tambien toca temas muy serios a su vez termina de una forma muy epica dejandonos con que sucedera en su siguiente libro y con ganas de mas, esta reseña la cual contiene spoiler es de las mas largas que he hecho pero queria cubrir bastantes partes y resaltar las mas importantes aunque faltanron, para los que no la han visto se las recomiendo a pesar de que esta primera temporada es bastante floja, las siguientes son de las mejores y nos daremos cuenta de la importancia de cada capitulo, se las recomiendo muchisimo. 🤗

Before we begin, I warn you that this review contains spoilers, so we begin this great story.
Here begins the story of Avatar Aang, he is missing and for 100 years the world has fallen into chaos, as the Fire Nation would start this war and as the intro says very famous for several memes: "But everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked", then everyone is waiting for the return of the Avatar to end this war and return to peacetime.
It all starts in the southern water tribe, some teenage siblings named Sokka and Katara are fishing near the tribe, they are arguing, as Sokka is very immature with his sister, Katara has long realized that she is a waterbender, but she does not know how to use the power, so during her annoyance with Sokka she uses her power without thinking and destroys an iceberg from which emerges the iceberg where there was a person and a huge flying bison, it glowed and was quite strange.

Katara decides to help this person who was frozen in this mountain of ice and after breaking all this ice and from there comes a light into the sky and from this comes out a hairless boy named Aang and his bison named Appa, he tells them that he is an airbender, the two brothers are amazed, because as they know the airbenders are extinct, Aang tells them that he does not believe because there were many teachers in the past, obviously Sokka and Katara are amazed, but they want to tell the truth to Aang.
On the other hand, we are shown what would be the antagonists of the series to some extent, these would be Zuko and Zuko's uncle named Iroh who is a high-ranking general and both belong to the Fire Nation, these are in search of the Avatar, as Zuko prince of the Fire Nation was banished and sent to this mission to capture the Avatar to regain his honor.
They see the ray of light and immediately head towards this sign that Zuko believes may be the Avatar.
During this episode we learn more about the avatar and his power, but after sending the signal of the light beam and also for being curious and entering an abandoned ship of the fire nation, they send one, they send it to the sky unintentionally, thus detecting the location of the avatar, Zuko heads towards this defenseless and small tribe and attacks the inhabitants, but Aang to avoid more damage surrenders.
Katara and Sokka decide to help him and after looking for Appa and talking to his grandmother to help him, they immediately go in search of Aang, they fight and the avatar manages to escape, starting this great journey full of many adventures.

On the other hand, Zuko arrives at a small dock in the Fire Nation and meets General Zhao, another of the antagonists of the series, he talks to Zuko about the avatar and after their discussions they decide to fight, which they call Agni Kai, after fighting Zuko comes out victorious and as Zhao is a bad loser he decides to attack Zuko from behind, Zuko's uncle Iroh defends him and tells him that it is a shameful act on his part.
Continuing with the story, Aang, Katara and Sokka continue on their journey and they arrive at the southern air temple, a sacred place where Aang lived all his childhood, he sees that there is no one and realizes that it is true what happened to all the nomads, Aang tells them that he met a teacher who was like a father to him, the monk Gyatso, while they continue investigating Aang meets another animal and who would be the new character who would join the group, his name is Momo and is a flying lemur.

While Aang was investigating he got by coincidence the body of the one who was a father to him, the monk Gyatso had fought with many firebenders and they took his life, there he activated a power known as the Avatar State, a power unknown to Aang, Katara decided to help him and calm him down, but this power caused all the temples where they worship the Avatar to light up and gave the return of the Avatar to the world.
They leave the temple and decide to continue their journey.
The Avatar team travels throughout the earth realm and meet different towns, which are being targeted by the fire nation, they also visit towns like Kyoshi Island, a very nice and quiet place where they worship a previous avatar called Kyoshi, they help Aang and he keeps them safe, We also meet the Kyoshi warriors who at first thought that the avatar group were enemies, but they realize that it is the current Avatar, their leader Suki decides to free them and help them, everything is quiet until rumors that Aang was on this island and Zuko arrives and attacks the island.

During their journey, Aang and Katara must learn to control the water, so they practice during their trip, we also know a fire master who is against the war and everything in the nation of fire and thanks to a former soldier of the nation leads them to this teacher to teach Aang fire control, Katara tries to heal herself and realizes that she has a very important power which is unique to the waterbenders. Zhao attacks them, but he loses and the avatar team escapes again and heads to the northern water tribe.
In the last episodes of this book, the Avatar team arrives to the Northern Water Tribe, a place full of masters and who have resisted the 100 years war thanks to the cold tundra of the arctic, they are received in a good way and Sokka falls in love with a white haired girl who is the daughter of the leader of the tribe, her name is Yue, Meanwhile Zuko lost his crew at the request of Admiral Zhao who plans to invade with a massive fleet to the northern water tribe, as he has a plan, Zuko after losing his crew is left alone on the ship, his Uncle Iroh went for a walk, Zuko's ship is attacked and destroyed along with him.

Meanwhile, Aang and Katara go to learn Waterbending with master Pakku, but he refuses to teach Katara because she is a woman, since in his tribe only men fight and women are healers, Katara and Aang refuse this teaching, but Aang has nothing more to learn from this selfish master.
Katara learns more about healing and during the nights she learns with Aang about water techniques, but Pakku realizes this and decides not to teach the Avatar anymore, Katara decides to fight Pakku and if she defeats him she will teach them both, but after defeating Katara Pakku sees the necklace that Katara's grandmother gave to her granddaughter, Pakku recognizes it and immediately apologizes.
Sokka, on the other hand, continues to conquer Princess Yue and while he was taking her to fly with Appa, he notices the number of ships of the fire nation, he immediately warns everyone in the tribe and they prepare for the attack.
Katara already trained and Sokka in pain because his girlfriend the princess was already engaged to someone else, Aang continues his training and prepares for combat, on the other hand, Zuko was alive and with the help of his uncle manages to get closer to reach the tribe through tunnels.

The attack begins and the tribe manages to hold on very hard, but as it is known the Moon supports the waterbenders, so the fire nation stops their attack for the whole night, Aang decides to meditate in the most spiritual point of the tribe and home of the spirits of the moon and the ocean, Aang decides to go to the world of the spirits to look for them to help the tribe, but while he meditates Zuko attacks him and Katara defends him, but she loses and Zuko takes Aang kidnapped.

During another day of attack, the tribe does not hold and begin to lose ground, Zhao gets closer and closer to the shrine where the spirits are, as their goal is to kill the spirit of the moon and kill the waterbenders. While Aang is still in the spirit world, Roku tells him that he must go to meet Koh, a very dangerous spirit because he is known for stealing faces, Aang visits him and he tells him that the spirits have been in the normal world for a long time.
After knowing this he returns to the normal world and is rescued by his friends and in turn they help Zuko for the second time, since this one of the attack ends up fainted, during his return Zhao arrives to the sanctuary and kills the spirit, Iroh tries to help, but seeing that there is no possibility of rescuing the spirit's life, Aang enters the avatar state and together with the spirit of the ocean they fight against the fire nation saving the tribe, while Yue gives her life, because thanks to the spirit she can live, so she returns the favor and dies to save the spirit and the moon, ending Book one of this incredible series.

Avatar was undoubtedly one of the girl series that I liked the most and wanted to see after leaving class; I really liked its theme and partly its end until the korra series came out for a few days and then no longer broadcast it. A great recommendation.
