In Motherhood : A never Ending Unconditional Love
Hello everyone! It's been a while since my last visit here. My apologies really. I need to travel away from home because it was my daughter's expected date of delivery.
It was a blessing in disguise because it was just in time of Antonia's sem break in school. Of course, granny me needs to be there for moral support as the need arises.
I would like you to meet our newest member of the family. His mom named him Jairus Raphael. Granny needs to stay for a while to assist mama bear :).
Being a mother to your kids does not end once they're on their own and starts to build their own nests when they bind the ties together, but rather it is the turning point of their lives that we parents should guide them whenever they need our moral support. Be as it may, I couldn't turn my back on them especially in times like this. It is quite hard to find responsible nannies at this time of pandemic because they too need to be vaccinated when they join a family to work as domestic helpers as required by the homeowners' protocols.
In Motherhood
I am referring this story about my 3rd daughter. On the above photo frame are photos of their eldest child whom she'd only held on her bosom for merely 16 days from birth. It was very painful in our part especially the parents. Her plight was most crucial and sensitive that I was very careful in giving her my moral support by comforting her, telling her that it was God's will. After months of denial and blaming God for what happened to their son,she conceived again but had a miscarriage. I told her it was not yet the right time for them to have a baby. They will in God's time I said.
Those are captions pasted on the door. She's a minimalist hence you only see that frame and some frames with captions with the two adjacent doors loaded with verses from the Bible.
It was an answered prayer when she conceived again. Hematoma around the fetus was found. It gradually disappeared with the help of modern medicine which cost them such a huge amount so as not to lose their baby again. The doctor advised for her to have a flu vaccine during her trimester period that will also include the baby's immunization. Afterwards, she also had her first dose of vaccine because it is the protocol of the hospital management that the mother should be vaccinated first before her due date or else she won't be admitted in the hospital. The couple did their part. The effect of the vaccine was terrible. They both suffered the symptoms that of a covid positive but they doctor assured them that it was the normal side effect of the said vaccine. Both had fever and chilling plus a dry cough. Her husband recovered after 10 days but she didn't due to prolonged dry cough. The doctor still insisted that they proceed with the second dose but I was adamant that she proceed with her second dose after her delivery because it might weaken her physically since it's already her delivery month anytime! Another SOP was that she should undergo a swab test every five days until she delivers her baby! Well, I didn't know that the effectivity of this swab tests are is only good for 5 days! Anyways, it was a blessing in disguise that our baby was "cooperative". He got out from his mother's womb the following day. :) How she prayed that it will be a normal delivery. Then her baby came out right after her third push so they only stayed in the hospital for two days. As a nurse herself and charge to experience after that tragic moment, they see to it their son had a 2Decho first and hearing test. Thank God, the result was normal. Actually, it was the day when she's supposed to give an online exam to her nursing students! You can imagine the happy faces of the students when exams are cancelled! Lol! Well, she already prepared it just in case and let her co-teacher take charge on her behalf. Her baby came out a week earlier, just the exact time of expectancy and weight.
They were thankful that the waiting is over. The couple were so anxious not to leave their baby alone. Her hubby was there, anxious not to leave their little angel.
It's an SOP to breastfeed the baby or wait for the first drop of milk called colostrum. As we all know, colustrun contains antibodies that are beneficial for the baby's immune system.
The manual breast pump hurts hence she posted online looking for an electric pump. There were many replies. She had chosen the lowest bidder.
There were two sets inside the box, one of which wasn't used yet. It was heartwarming to see when the couple delivered the pump themselves along with their two kids who enjoyed the ride with their family pedicab. My daughter sees to it that her baby is well fed with her own milk aside from the one prescribed by her doctor.
She frequently checked her baby's heartbeats whenever he's still asleep. We already know of her first born which traumatized her and this is one of the reasons why I need to be near her side.Aside from that, her husband only had 5 days leave of absence so I am the most qualified 'candidate' bringing along Antonia with me. Her class adviser was kind enough to consider late submission of her modules just in case.
It is normal for a baby to be the yellowish from birth and it will gradually disappear once they grow older so there's nothing to worry about since they already had his 2D-echo and hearing test. She made it a point to have her baby sunbathed for at least 30 minutes everyday.
This will also allow the AmbelicalCord to dry quickly.
I woke up from my youngest son's video call to check on us and I only rolled myself to take a shot on them still undergoing the sunbathing session. I could see her kissing her baby full of love and affection. My eyes went watery!
The eager and excited Antonia was only allowed to hold our baby a week after because he was so frail that extra care should be observed first.
Antonia's mom came to visit as well before she went to Boracay for their beauty launge opening.
He's so small that I always let her do the task in bathing our little angel.
After his quick bath, you expect him to sleep sound that his mom would wake him up for his next feeding time
As the days passed, we already knew of his actuations and signs what's happening to him.:) We find it funny whenever he stretched hard and protrudes his lips. It meant that he pee'd,
and pooed. Lol!
A little Thanksgiving when our baby turned 1 week old. He's now two weeks old. I know that I need to go home to look for a helper nanny. I asked my grandson to look after the house. His mom sleeps there to accompany him at night and leave earlier to report to her assigned school.
I was holding baby Jairus as his mom was multitasking, pumping his ration while tallying the grades of her students. She needs to clear their grades even if she's on leave for 5 months with support from the Social Security System Maternity Program.
For his milk supplement, additional vitamins was prescribed by the doctor for additional protein to increase his weight.
This is all for now guys, I hope that new mothers and expecting mothers will find this documentary informative and beneficial for your babies as they grow older.
Thank you and God bless!
Congratulations to the newest member of the family.

Thanks dear. Eto nga, karay2 ko rin si Antonia. I need to bring her along with me because of her modules.Lol! She's having s hard time in Tagalog really. granny is multitasking!:)
Oh my! Kakaiyak! I remember the 3rd and 4th babies of my sister. They are all gone. It was terrible experience we had.
Anyways, Congrats grandma! 🥰
Sorry about that too. What was the cause of their death?
The 3rd baby didn't make it during the delivery. That was 2019.
While the 4th baby was few days after his 1st birthday. It was last July. We never expected it would happen.
That's very hard on their part. So painful. What was the cause when he survived for almost a year...
There is nothing more precious than the gift of life, and I can see the joy on all of your faces. Welcome to the world Jairus Raphael!!

Yay! Hello world Jairus Raphael! Congratulation on the new family member!
😆😆 It is nice to know when the baby gives sign.
Thanks dear. Actually, they changed the milk supplement because it's too heavy for his stomach that he constipated. Now he pooed after feeding him which is the normal process. We're all relieved seeing his contented face afterwards, sending him to a long slumber.:)
ahh yes I remember one of my nephew got this too. It took like 3 times changing the milk brand until it was compatible with his stomach. It was such a wonderful experience to be able to grow together with little kids.
Thank you for the sharing, have a great day to you and your family especially to little Jairus Raphael! 🌟😍
