My DIY Sofa Seat Cover Out Of My Drape Curtain
Hello there needleworkers of hive! What's up for today? Here, it's been raining hard for days now so I opted to dig on my sewing materials and looked for something to do to kill time then I noticed my damaged maroon drape again. It was borrowed in school and was returned with cuttings on both ends already which angered me but I chose not to reprimand the students. Instead, I decided to make a seat cover out of it since I've been planning to make one for my sofa.
I need to draw a pattern for each side for accuracy in order to avoid wasting of fabrics especially when you have a limited material.
It is important to set an extra space on each pattern to insert them on each side to make a good fitting as shown on the above pattern.
The arm has different patter because of the curves.
Going down the arm has another pattern going up the shoulder, all of which should be equal on both sides then that will be the time to make the square pattern at the back to close the whole seat cover.
There, that's now my finished seat cover!

Thanks dear. Once you know how to use the sewing machine, the rest follows. An glad that I learned sewing from my mom then my mother-in-law. Actually, I accepted to sew a sofa cover in the neighborhood for 50 PHP which is equivalent to $1 today but that was 3 decades ago! Lol! Nowadays, it's already $150. That's the result of price inflation. Sewing sofa seat covers has been part of my 'bread n' butter' too to which am very thankful of. Thanks for dropping by sis Deevi!
Sewing for me requires a lot of patience but I think those who have an aptitude for this is easy for them, hehe.
