Acanta grew up in a family that lived in a very dark and gloomy forest. Nearby there was a village and in that place, when the family had to go get something, they were looked at badly and being excluded. Acanta never understood why this happened, she felt that her family were good people, they sought harmony between nature and daily life and her parents loved her like no one else. One night, when Acanta was 17 years old, she went to do a ritual to the moon, however, a smoke that dispersed among the trees alerted her, she ran towards where it came from with her breathing accelerated and then she remained paralyzed, watching how her home was falling and turned to ashes. She screamed the name of her parents but they did not respond, she screamed towards the sky with heartbreaking pain and asked with all her heart for the strength to be able to destroy those who had committed that cruelty. Suddenly, a large snake appeared in front of her, offering her a deal, in exchange for her power and her magic she had to give half of her body to it. This is how Acanta approached the flames that were still brandished strongly in what was her home and, inserting part of her arm, the snake took what she asked for, being forever marked with the curse. Today, in the town, no one will ever be able to forget the sparkling yellow eyes of a woman who rose above them, leaving destruction and taking away the men who were in charge of destroying Acanta's family...

Hello! Today I bring you an original character inspired by a witch and a snake. The name Acanta, in fact, is a diminution of Acanthopis, known as the viper of death. I wanted to represent in the story a good-hearted girl whose cruel destiny led her to sacrifice a part of herself in order to achieve a greater goal. This card would be part of the element of death, its rarity would be epic and its role would be a summoner thanks to the magic given to it by the spirit of the snake. I hope you like it!

Acanta se crió en una familia que vivía en un bosque bastante oscuro y tenebroso, cerca de allí había una villa y en ese lugar, cuando la familia debía ir a conseguir algo, los miraban mal y los excluían. Acanta nunca entendió porqué sucedía esto, ella sentía que su familia eran buenas personas, buscaban la armonía entre la naturaleza y la vida diaria y sus padres la amaban como a nadie. Una noche, cuando Acanta tenía 17 años fue a hacer un ritual a la luna, sin embargo, un humo que se dispersaba entre los árboles la alerto, corrió hacia donde provenía y su respiración se aceleró para luego quedar paralizada, mirando cómo su hogar se volvía cenizas. Gritó el nombre de sus padres pero no respondieron, gritó hacia el cielo con un dolor desgarrador y pidió con todo su corazón la fuerza para poder destruir a aquellos que habían hecho esa crueldad, de pronto, una gran serpiente apareció frente a ella, ofreciendole un trato, a cambio de su poder y su magia ella debía entregar la mitad de su cuerpo a él. Fue así como Acanta se acercó a las llamas que aún se blandían con fuerza en lo que fué su hogar e introduciendo parte de su brazo la serpiente tomó lo que pidió, siendo marcada para siempre con la maldición. Hoy en día, en la villa, nadie nunca podrá olvidar los ojos chispeantes y amarillos de una mujer que se alzó encima de ellos, dejando destrozos y llevándose a los hombres que se encargaron de acabar con la familia de Acanta...

Hola! hoy les traigo un personaje original inspirada en una bruja y una serpiente. El nombre de Acanta, de hecho es un diminutuvo de Acanthopis conocida como la víbora de la muerte. Quise representar en la historia a una muchacha de buen corazón cuyo cruel destino la llevó a sacrificar una parte de ella para poder lograr un cometido mayor. Esta carta formaría parte de las del elemento de la muerte, su rareza sería épica y su rol sería de invocadora gracias a la magia que le otorga el espíritu de la serpiente. Espero les guste!

I did the sketch in pencil, making several versions (of which I did not take photos) but, I think what I wanted to achieve was a power pose, I had placed her sitting on the snake, also sitting on the ground, a version with a magic book, a lot of brainstorming, but in the end I liked this version and it was the one I took to digital. At the same time, I usually add the details when I am outlining and, to make her clothes look even more interesting, I added those scale details to give her even greater connection with the snake.

El boceto lo hice a lápiz, haciendo varias versiones (A las cuales no les tomé fotos) pero, creo que lo que quería lograr era una pose de poder, la había colocado sentada en la serpiente, también sentada en el suelo, una versión con un libro de magia, muchas lluvias de ideas, pero al final me gustó esta versión y fue la que llevé a digital. A su vez yo suelo agregar los detalles cuando estoy haciendo el delineado y, para que se viera aún más interesante su ropa le agregué esos detalles de escamas para darle aún mayor conexión con la serpiente.

I was tempted to leave it as in the first image but since I don't know when to stop I ended up adding color and sparkles and things until the final result hahaha.

Estaba tentada en dejarla como en la primera imagen pero como yo no sé cuando parar terminé agregandole color y destellos y cosas hasta el resultado final jajaja.
