Hello, there! @saydie here, playing Splinterlands everyday!

Taark Nightbloom.png

Today is Tuesday, which is the usual maintenance period for Splinterlands, where they implement game updates, and one of the updates that will take place during this maintenance is that the new Voucher cards will become available in the Voucher shop. Just like the previous Voucher cards, there will also be 3 new cards that will be available in the Voucher shop. As for their skins, I believe that they will be added at a later time.

So, while waiting until the maintenance period ends, I might as well talk about the last Voucher card within this batch, which is the epic unit, Taark Nighthbloom.

Lvl 6- Protect

Unlike the last card that I talked about, Taark Nightbloom does not possess any enormous stats, as it only has 4 health and 2 armor even at max level. And neither does it have powerful damage, as its max melee damage was 3. But that was fine because where it will shine is in the small leagues, for it only has a mana cap of 4. As a Treefolk Bloodline, it doesn't really have any Conclave Arcana Archon to benefit from its Bloodline Dominion, but being a Dragon unit will allow it to be able to form different synergies across different elements. Not to mention, it also has the Death element that will allow it to be summoned even if the Dragon element was not available in the ruleset.

For its abilities, it does possess the Sneak ability that will allow Taark Nightbloom to attack the backline of the opponent team. And it doesn't matter if the target has tons of armor, because with the Shatter ability, all that armor will be gone when this card's attack lands on the target. Taark Nightbloom also has the Protect ability that will give +2 armor on all allied units, so long as this card remains at play, but what really makes this card a strong contender in the combat arena is its Flame Fed ability, which will allow it to gain +1 health when it was under the Burning debilitation, making it a good choice, when working with units such as Zyrx the Emberglaze or, when rulesets such as Global Warming and Dragon's Breath was active.

General Voucher Sale

During the general sale, each copy of Taark Nightbloom will cost 250 Vouchers, with 2% base chance to drop a gold foil and a 0.25% base chance to drop a black foil version of the card. You can have a guaranteed gold foil drop for every 50 cards that you purchase, but you can lower it to 25 copies if you use 8 Alchemy Potions on each card, which will also double the chance to get a gold foil version of the card. Meanwhile, you can also double the chance to get a black foil version of the card if you use 8 Midnight Potions on each card you buy.

As of the writing of this post, 250 Vouchers are equivalent to 8,018.25 DEC, so if you want to get a max copy of this card, you will need 11,500 Vouchers for 46 BCX of the card, which will be equivalent to 368,839.5 DEC.

GFA Fortune Draw & BFA Auction

Gold Foil Arcane Fortune Draw: August 19th, 2026

In this method, you cannot directly buy Taark Nightbloom using Vouchers. Instead, players will need to join the Fortune draw event by entering Fortune tickets, which can be crafted by using 200 Aura, 10 Vouchers, and 200 DEC. It takes 10 Fortune tickets to enter a raffle draw, where there will be a total of 5 Gold Foil Arcane versions of Taark Nightbloom that will be raffled within 5 days. And even if you do not win, your entry will still receive a regular foil version of the card based on the number of entries you entered.

Looking at the current price of crafting a fortune ticket, it is currently equivalent to 759.41 DEC per ticket, or 7,594.10 DEC for 10 tickets that are needed for a single entry, which is much lower if you purchase the card using Voucher in the General sale.

Black Foil Arcane Auction: September 12th, 2026

If you want to chase those premium cards but do not think you have the luck to win the raffle, you can also brute force it by entering the Black Foil auction, where there will be 3 Black Foil versions of the card that will be auctioned, with a copy being auctioned every 30 hours, with up to 1 hour extention. Here, what you need is to have enough Auction Marks to outbid other players. This token can be crafted by using 1000 Aura, 50 Vouchers, and 500 DEC for each Auction Mark.

As of the writing of the post, the price of crafting an Auction Mark is 3297.05 DEC, but to determine whether it will be cheaper to get this card through the auction or the general sale can only be known once we get to the auction.

Closing

And that was it for Taark Nightbloom. It is a card that you will most likely see at the little leagues or when the battle's mana cap is very low, so demand for this card may not be much. But given that the last dragon Voucher card also has a Treefolk Bloodline, the team may be cooking something else using this card. My guess is that it will have something to do with one of the remaining Escalation Archons, because there are still 4 archons that we do not know yet.

Thank you, and see you on the next post!
