A visit to the Museum

About a week ago, a relative of mine visited the museum in Banglore, now Bengaluru. He sent me pictures of the various pieces put up for public display. He also mentioned that it is a must-see for students as it will help their learning.

I understand that few can visit a museum in a big metro city. I myself have been only once to visit a museum and that too, a small one in our capital city and I do not even remember any of it as I was just a child. So, I can totally understand if you have not even visited one.

In my opinion, museums can have a virtual tour. It would also be a good idea to have a virtual tour because of the limitations in travel, the pandemic still being present, and for those who are unable to afford a trip and the disabled.

Why the visit to a museum?

There are many things that have to be seen and felt to be understood better, is it not? A child may not completely be able to grasp what is being taught if written on a blackboard. Practical experience is the best teacher but then again, it is not wise to meet a dinosaur walking along the road. So,
a visit to the museum is a great idea to get to know the history of a place and also learn about discoveries and inventions over the ages.

Many of the exhibits are science related. There are other museums that give importance to history and culture but this is all about industry and technology.
