Challenges in life - learning to bake

Here is a Youtube short that I attempted; surprisingly, it got some views. it shows some buns I prepared. it may seem ordinary but this was the result after umpteen failures and not giving up even after repeated attempts.

During the Covid lockdown, I started watching cake-making videos during my spare time I tried to prepare cakes and the first four were literally thrown into the dustbin because it was inedible as I had used too much baking powder without proper knowledge of baking. So, I kept baking despite feeling anxious each time before baking. It was a challenge I gave myself and finally, I found the perfect recipe for a simple vegan chocolate cake, and then the challenge was to bake a sponge cake without eggs. Everyone who bakes will agree that it is hard to achieve an eggless sponge.

Bread baking was the hardest of all and one fine day, I read a tip by a renowned baker that the ratio of flour to yeast is one teaspoon of yeast for one cup of flour. I tried buns and got it right. I still have to bake the perfect bread loaf; hopefully, I can do it soon.

Coming back to ovens, I used an OTG which is Oven Toaster Grill and is perfect for baking but having the urge to buy microwave convection, I tried that, and sadly, I find that OTG is still the best for baking in spite of being less costlier and nonfancy. l have now sworn to use the OTG only for baking.

Ingredients for buns
1 cup flour
1 tsp yeast
3 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
water
2 tsp butter

Method
Activate the yeast by adding it to 3 tsp warm milk and 1.5 tbsp sugar. After it blooms, add flour with remaining sugar, salt, milk, and enough water. Knead with the help of a dough beater or hand. Cover and set aside for one hour. Add butter and knead again and form buns and cover for an hour. Bake for 15 minutes in a preheated oven at 170 degrees Celsius.
