Does God belong to anyone in particular?

The answer is No.

God if you believe in the supreme power or deity or universe power is as such not defined by any religion, to be honest. Religion was made possible through a given set of rules for the unruly and nomadic humans to follow so that they would live together in harmony in a society.

The man was born nomadic and when you observe the hunter-gatherer phase, it was total anarchy. Humans if they had not been socialized or classified would still have led wild lives and chances are that the survival rate would have been very less but let's not get into it because this is a post about the human relationship with God. As you read on, you will get what I mean.

Man is a very highly evolved and intelligent animal. So, it was meant to be that he had to live a civilized life in order to concentrate on developing further. On another note, humans are the ones responsible for the destruction of many land and aquatic species.

Science without human values, destroys instead of bettering the lives of other life forms. So, Human Values are what matters.

Take the case of A and B. A and B are living in the same society. A is jealous of B because B is more successful than A and even though B helps A whenever loans are requested, A will not rest till B is put down, insulted or faces failure.

A goes on to pray to God using religion that B also follows and pleads for B's fall. Now, B is a devout person who does their duties well and leads a righteous life. A spends lots of money to please God.

Do you think that God is pleased with the outward show by A?

God is fair in his judgment and will never favor anyone just because they spend more money. In fact, God will be pleased with selfless service, sacrifice, helping attitude, lack of egoism, humility, and untainted love. A pure heart is hard to find and even if a tiny bit of humility is present in the mind, God will protect that individual. So, try to please God by doing selfless service to society and live the life of a true and righteous citizen.

God does not belong to anyone in particular. He is like a mother with so many children and will not prefer one to another and as far as karma is concerned, it is not God who punishes but one's own effect of action.

A cannot be reformed perhaps but A has to understand that it is better to live harmoniously along with B and not try to destroy the other.

Life is a precious gift and human life is even more so. It is better to give and forgive; love and be happy for others when they become successful and be tolerant when others make mistakes.

There are many paths to God and religions are just the guidelines one must follow to reach the destination.
