Her wish

She opened the door and stepped out. She looked different and for a second, her manager was ready to pounce on the 'imposter' but she looked at him and nodded and he understood. She looked completely different. She had transformed herself into another human being.

The manager was trying to hide a laugh and he almost got a coughing fit. Of course, she was a fan of the five find-outers and the main character Fatty(Frederick) was always trying on new disguises.

She had covered herself in numerous T-shirts to look heavier and also put on a ridiculous wig. The thick eyebrows made her look even shadier and the skirt had never seen a wash bucket. Her nails were too dirty and might have made any policeman suspect her because she had slender hands but she was wise enough to cover them up with fingerless gloves. The cold weather was too much to ignore.
Her shoes looked like thrown-away sneakers and yet it was way better than her heels.

Wearing a crocheted cap, she moved on while the reporters looked at her suspiciously. Her manager was surrounded while she almost ran down the stairs and onto the road. He had a hard time explaining who she was. He must have said something to convince them because they left quickly. She could see them leaving the building.

She was not hungry but she felt the coins in her pocket. She wanted to roam freely in the city and behave as a normal human being would. She went to a nearby shop that sold hot drinks and food for the poor at a lower price. it was funded by an organization and she remembered donating to one such place. As she entered, she noticed figures huddled in their torn clothes, trying to drink their hot chocolates as fast as they could and also grab a bite of the sandwich they were given. Some could not afford the meal but they were not denied food. The scene of small children enjoying their food and drink tore her heart and she hid her face under her scarf. Tears rolled down her cheeks.

She walked out after having a cup of soup. It had been delicious. She sighed. Her cook who was well paid could not make anything even similar. She noted the name of the shop and donated a huge amount online. She could see the cashier's face becoming very astonished. She walked on.

The next thing that caught her eye was the person sleeping on a newspaper on a bench. It was cold. She could not imagine such a situation. of course, she could not change the world but she could do one small act. She took off her warm coat and placed it on the sleeping figure. He got up and looked at her. She also handed him some coins and a biscuit. She walked off before he could ask who she was. God bless you. She could hear him yell.

She walked on with a vengeance. She had made up her mind. She would not look back now nor be discouraged by any person. This life was meant to help others. What was the point of living a selfish life? What was the point of all the meaningless fame and status?

It did not mean she would give it all away because if she did so, she would not be able to help many more. Life had designed her role so that she could be useful to many. This was the role she had in the drama of life. This was her mission. This was her statement.

That evening, she called upon a press meet. People wondered what it was about. Her love life or the latest music video? They were surprised and happy when she announced that she would be sponsoring the food shops around town and also running a clothes donation campaign every month.
