Inspiration to write blogs on Hive

avatar

So many of us, myself included sometimes find it hard to write. I have gone through days of not being able to write a word. I would take a new page on Ecency and stare at it for long and not come up with any idea on what to write.
I do write about splinterlands but it is not possible to write about it every day because it would not only be seen as 'farming' but also could get repetitive even though we players do know that there are lots of topics to write about.

Anyways, one day, I thought I would diversify the topics to write and then begin a new phase. So, I began my writing again and this time, blogs were devoted to agriculture, stories, movies, splinterlands, arts, and sometimes travel.
This gave me the inspiration to write blogs without being repetitive.

One thing a hive blogger should remember is that if you keep blogging and interacting, and taking part in community-based discord servers, you will be able to not only make use of the exposure but also make some new friends and gain from it. It does not mean that leaving comments like 'nice post' will get voted. In fact, you would get downvoted if you are noticed.

So, the key to being successful on Hive is to understand how it works in the first place and then do your thing. Consistency is the key. Writing a blog daily may seem too much of a task but you can set apart an hour for that. If it cannot be done during the day, you can write about any topic during the night. Once you get the hang of it, you will be able to write much faster.

Observing others and situations help you a lot. In fact, you can also get inspiration from the daily news. I agree that the news is crap nowadays but some events in the world could make you so emotional that you want to write your heart out. Likewise, those who love watching movies can write reviews about them on the cineTV blog. Those in finance can write on the Leo Finance blogs and so on.

Here, writing is not the problem sometimes. Finding a bit of quiet time is the factor. So, if you want, you can also get up an hour or so early in the morning and write. Writing about your train journeys is a nice idea as well. Inspiration is everywhere. We just have to tap it and let the words flow.

Imagine writing about the beverage we drink. The cinnamon coffee community allows you to do just that. Search for the right community on Hive and start writing.

Earning hive and hive power not only gives you more resource credits but also gives you the confidence that you are able to make a mark on the blockchain.

Tips for writing a quality blog on Hive

  • Write more than 500 words per blog
  • Include your own pictures if possible otherwise source it
  • Format the blog in such a way that it is easy to read and not just a block of text
  • Including a lot of pictures that are not aligned properly is a put-off
  • Make sure you know what you are writing about
  • if you are writing in a language other than English - please write a translation too
  • Make sure not to tag other users unnecessarily because it will invite displeasure
  • When you join a new discord server, never ask where you can share your post link because it is like going to a stranger's house, and when invited inside, trying to take stuff
  • Do not post hate, violence, or spread fear
  • Never ask for money from a hive user unless you are known to them personally
  • Never DM a curator of a community asking for votes because it is rude and will be looked down upon. If you do want to message, ask for permission in the general chat first. Violating this could invite a ban.
  • Never message others trying to threaten them. It is never good.

I hope these tips will be useful.

These tips were very useful. We're most times in lack of what to write about. One thing that has immensely helped me is participating in contests. Doing this as much as I can has made me learn and also interact with other people, sharing in their stories too. I'll do well to implement everything you've said. Thanks for sharing.🥰✨

Thanks for the tip on how to be consistent on Hive. Writing has become a daily routine for me and it would be impossible for me to go a day without doing it.

I get inspired mostly by real life scenarios and I don't hesitate to put down points to develop an article when one comes my way.

Keeping to the platform room is just as important as being consistent and with must keep good level of engagement with other users as well.

This are some very good tips that could come in handy.

Writing everyday could get monotonous sometimes but once you know what you're writing about, it only gets better.

Inspiration is indeed everywhere :) ... You were wise to branch out, and write about more than Splinterlands 🙌 I try to vary my topics too. It prevents boredom, and improves my writing skills...

Very useful post. You said everything.
Sometimes life is not easy and we unfortunately only have to do a break (my case)
But is good to write and being on Hive, I've learned a lot and I had the opportunity to make some friendship. That's just wonderful.
Big Hugs 🤗
