Pencil Power: Writing the Story of Human History and Communication
Communication is something that has always bound us together
,and since the start of humanity there has been a very big number of efforts that have been given towards communicating our thoughts to each other and that was not possible to a very big extent and tell a very long amount of time and one we enabled ourselves to do that there was no looking back as we just keep on marching ahead as we started to communicate with each other and found a way to do that and after that, there was a very big number of things that happened and a lot of qualities that develop within ourselves one of which was of teamwork and the sharing of thoughts did enable us to even gather that information that some of us have and some of us don't and culminating all of those at one place was possible after that.
In the early days of human life, there was a big confusion among humans themselves as they had no language or no medium to communicate with each other and therefore it was very difficult for them to do any task that needed to be done in a group manner or even just share their thoughts and that was something that was completely not a thing even till a very long amount of time and that did that we were not making much of progress as a society but one that happened dear was a lot of development and immediately it took up.
Initially, there were a lot of things that were involved in communication between human beings including sign language or just trying to gather how gestures can be used to translate our thoughts to someone else, and slowly thanks developed, and their new mediums that enabled to use for the same manner of communicating and they also got implemented in a manner which was very useful for people back them.
One of the most influential and fundamental ways of communicating was by writing and drawing and there were a lot of ways with which it was done as there were a lot of things that we needed to communicate through actual images of the thing that they wanted to be portrayed to the other human mean and that was done on the walls of games as well as other materials were also used.
Slowly and steadily there was in need for a particular tool that was going to be used for this sole purpose of writing and drawing, as earlier they were a kind of a paintbrush that was made of different materials and was used to draw on caves and walls but later on as time past and the era evolved there were a lot of other things that did started to pop up and those tools that were used to be made to smart such as writing and drawing was shaping up to be looking like the pencil that we know these days.
The modern pencil as we know it today was very different back in the day as it has research backing to even thousands of years of ancient civilization as it was a writing instrument that was previously made from very different materials as compared to the materials that are been used to make the modern presence these days, smart materials included sticks of charcoal that were used to be inscribing messages on to Clay tablets and various other materials for the written communication that used to happen.
Later on, the discovery of graphite was a very big influential move in the history of the pencil as it was one of the most used materials for these writing instruments it was later used in a wooden casing for writing purposes as it was much easier to be holding the graphite layer inside and inscribing using that particular instrument to write and draw.
Graphite was something that was mistaken for another form of lead because it looked the same the way lead looks but later on it was something that proved to be a very effective writing material that can be used and it was used in pencils for the same purpose of writing and drawing and used as a writing instrument and it was the key material that was installed within the wooden casings for writing.
The modern pencil has been no it today came up to be that manner after the graphite sticks were wrapped within some strings or even sheepskin so that the hands were protected from the graphite layer while writing after this design it later evolved into the modern version that we know today within the wooden casing and the spread of pencil across the world was something that is a story for the military that was used the pencil in such a man which was to be making sure that they can pinpoint map and also pass on information in the battlefield and because of which there was a huge need of pencil for the military.
Over time the design of the pencil has seen many changes as well as right from the start it was just a stick of graphite or charcoal letter on it was wrapped in a layer of sheep skin and after that, it was installed within a wooden case but after that around the 19th Century, it was installed with a rubber on its back which made it one of the most the use tools in writing because the mistakes could be easily removed and again the writing process can be continued which was a game changer for the pencil.
After so many centuries it did serve a lot of purposes and was one of the most used instruments in writing it did serve a huge role in the entire writing and communication Industry that it made sure to develop but in the modern age, the rise of digital technology has made the traditional writing instruments as something which is Losing its importance in the modern world as the relevance of them has to decrease white a lot as the modern world is dominated by digital technology instruments.
Today modern artists as well as writers also use digital platforms to do their purpose of work as they use tablets to draw writers also tend to type on keyboards or even voice type so the purpose of the pencil has decreased quite a lot and in this digital innovation, we have forgotten of very big and profit impact that pencil had on our lives and culture and our history as well.
