Korean Beef | Marbling From the Heavens
There is one thing that I have to admit about Korea, their need is exquisite! This might have been one of the most expensive dinners I have ever had, but it was for a very special event so it was totally worth it. The marbling on these pieces of meat is out of this world. The only sad thing about Korean BBQ is that the cuts are always pretty small and not pre-seasoned. I prefer some salt and pepper on my steaks. The pure beef flavor is amazing though and the texture was extremely tender and juicy.
They normally serve it with mushrooms, garlic (strangely the garlic here is not strong at all, you can eat a whole clove on its own), and then a ton of side dishes that can also go on the grill.
Now the goal would be to buy some beef with this kind of marbling directly from a butcher. Nice and thick, then season and prepare. That is what I am talking about, but I know it will be super expensive. So I'll just wait for another special occasion where we tend to justify splurging a bit and spoiling our loved ones.
Those are some of the most amazing cuts of beef I've ever seen! I can only imagine how great they were.
We recently discovered an all-you-can-eat sushi and Korean BBQ place and I fell in love!
By far the best I have ever eaten. The texture is just out of this world. properly blew my mind.
Oh, don't even get me started on all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ. Still one of my favorite things to do! Just knocks it out of the park every time. Glad you enjoyed it!
I have recently been fascinated by a cut of meat called the Iberico Secreto, but it is so expensive I don't want to buy a cut and then screw it up on the pellet smoker....lolol
