Hail to the Hive!

I had to take a rather long walk to the grocery store in Market Harborough and a fellow boater had suggested a short cut using a footpath across some farmers fields so I thought what the ‘hay ‘ ( you see what I did there 😉 🤣)

It made a pleasant change from wandering down the canal towpath as the wide ope countryside and views across the fields was amazing. It ended up not being a short cut that saved me any time as I kept stopping to admire the views and snap a few shots. I was doing this every few minutes as it was such a pleasant day with scenery as gorgeous as can be.

Amazing to see I was the only person for miles around also, well at least that I could see. A wonderful feeling to have all this countryside to yourself. Peaceful and relaxing.

I decided to walk the canal towpaback though as I don’t like to feel like I am backtracking and it means I had a good 10 mile walk with constantly new scenery.

Feeling a bit tired now though, need a beer!
