Hail to the Hive!

I always like to have a little fun taking photos of myself with the drone at the end of the flight, directly before landing. I quite like the perspective that you get as you fly back in. I was going through yesterdays shots and messing around with them and realised that although these are effectively selfies I quite liked them.

The rooftop environment is good in black and white and having a model ( haha me ) kind of sets the image off. Shame about the model though eh! Not exactly Zoolander but at least I can turn left!

A friend of mine who runs a dive shop in the Philippines used to have a derogatory term for people that took selfies. He would call them ‘Selfie Stick Wankers’ which was kind of amusing.

Any of his friends that posted selfies on social media would get that as a standard response ‘ Selfie Stick Wanker!’ And it was a running joke amongst us all. To be fair he’s even been caught taking them of himself also.

But these selfies are taken with a drone and therefore no stick. I think I could quite effectively argue the point’no stick,no wanker’ which sounds kind of wrong but you get my drift.

So while I am brewing my morning oot of coffee and starting my day I thought I’d offer these non selfie stick wanker selfies up for #monomad today as I like the concrete and clouds, great monochrome territory.
