Hail to the Hive!

I have been having some great fun recently making what I think looks like comic book art or graphic novel noir, out of street art photography. Sharing them,as I have been, on hive has had a few Hivers agree that in monochrome the artwork takes on a whole new perspective and perhaps , in some circumstances, is even better.

These trains spray painted onto the walls in the railway arches are almost naturally framed and the brick work almost looks like drawings in these black and white shots so the comic book vibe really does come into effect.

Spending this week photographing street art and sharing it on the hive has been very satisfying. The past year the canal network has given me oodles of content to photograph and write about in posts and now as a result wherever I seem to go now my eye is like a radar, scanning for interesting content.

I don’t believe it’s now possible for me to not have a productive day as I can always find something to capture and share. No matter if I am on a walk, chugging along on Narrowboat Badger or enjoying a beer or coffee. I can see or find something creative in it all.
