Rocket Fuel Coffee Morning - Coffee on the Run / The Final Paddle

(Edited)

Good Morning all you coffee lovers!

This morning I had to have my coffee on the run. The weather looked lovely with the sea so calm this morning. Now the storm had passed I realised it was the perfect time to Kayak in and deliver it to my friend Marc from Smooth Cafe. I knew the winds would start to pick up later in the day so best to brew coffee and take it with me.

Then to carry the kayak down to the shoreline. Seems I have an audience this morning. At least he has a sensible haircut. Same as mine.

Kayak in the water, lovely weather, gentle breeze & hot freshly brewed coffee to go. Happy days.

I’ve done this paddle to work many times but on this occasion I decided to take my time as it will be the last paddle in that I do. It really is a beautiful stretch of coastline.

It’s 3.2km and when conditions are perfect and I’m feeling energetic it usually takes about 35 minutes but today as I was taking it all in as it’s the final paddle in (and I wasn’t feeling particularly energetic) it took 50 minutes.

It is by far the best way to commute into work and I am now regretting not doing it more often. Good exercise, great views, peaceful & fun.

Arrived at the destination, time to say goodbye the the kayak 😔

I...Well, I have a confession...Please don't be mad with me, or respect me less...

I have cut back to only one cup of coffee a day. [G-dog winces just in case Scuba smacks him in the chops.]

I know...What the actual fuck right?

I've got a little issue and have had some tests for it with no results yet...So it's on my mind and I'm having trouble sleeping so...Figured I'd reduce from four to one...It seems to be helping.

If you want to unfriend me I'll understand.

Phew.

Sell, my coffee power is at 25% effectiveness right now but I'm hoping to get it fired up and operating at 100% again soon...Right after my sleep normalises. Four hours a night makes for a very grumpy G-dog.

Hello @galenkp One cup of coffee is fine too!
We love coffee but think the importance of sleep wins, so we won't unfriend you:)
@scubahead and I both watch our intake and cut-off times.
A grumpy G-Dog is ok, but not "borderline uncivilized" Cam (me)🤣.
Yes, give the 100% natural Melatonin a try. Then even if you get only 4 hours sleep, you'll be a chirpy G-Dog 😉

Chirpy G-dog is probably more annoying that grumpy G-dog! 😂

I wasn't focusing on coffee cut-off times and 4-5 some days...Not good. I'll check out melatonin tomorrow...And then...Chirpy G-dog might emerge!
