Temporary Mooring - Monomad Challenge
Hail to the Hive!
This is a familiar temporary moorin for us and we have tied up Badger the Narrowboat here many a time but I don’t often get to view her like this from the other side of the canal nestled between other water craft. It’s nice to occasionally get this perspective as we don’t view her from afar very often.
As summer goes it’s pretty awful so far this June but at least the moody horrible cloudy skies lend themselves well to monochrome photography and the old Friars Mill building also looks every bit olde world. These shots really do have an historic look to them.
Also Badger really does look tiny next to the old working boats. Like a child next to her parents. Very cute!
The still water capturing the reflections along with the clouds and old buildings with a few boats thrown into the mix was an opportunity not to be missed as I took a stroll to the chiropractor’s to get my elbow looked at. There’s Hive Gold everywhere if you keep your eyes open. This is something I love #Hive for, making every day a creative opportunity.
And of course I do…

This is pure eyegasm. Those brick buildings around England are truly stunning! Great catch btw.
Thanks @wnfdiary i am starting to get used to the strange looks i get photographing old buildings people don’t give a second look haha
👀
Black and white magic in olde world feel, yes Badger looks dwarfed against the mill and bigger boys.
Excellent photography and good luck with the elbow, creaking bones all part of the fun!
I banged it and seem to have aggravated tendons and what not. 😔
Funny bone, not so funny now 😄
Nope not at all 😔
Yes, it’s cool to see it from another angle @scubahead as you won’t see it living on it.
The b&w are cool and vintage looking especially with that surroundings.
Great captures and reflections.
Thanks for sharing 😎
thanks @littlebee4. I was happy withhow these turned out. Olde Worlde vibe
