BATTLE MAGE SECRETS - RULESET: AIM TRUE Weekly Challenge!

avatar

In Armored Up ruleset battles, players usually try to use magic in conjunction with Void Armor provided by certain monsters and Grandmaster Rathe summoner to gain an edge over their opponents. However, in this particular battle, the Lost Magic ruleset was also implemented, which made that strategy not possible. Lost Magic ruleset cancels out all magic attacks and abilities, making it challenging for players who rely on magic-based monsters.

To overcome this obstacle, players need to switch up their strategies and choose monsters that have different strengths. In this case, I decided to bet on Jacek, a summoner that provides monsters with armor piercing and additional two speed. Armor piercing is a valuable ability that allows a monster to pierce its opponent's armor and deal remaining damage directly to their health. Additionally, Jacek's increased speed would allow my monsters to attack before the opponents, giving them an advantage.

RULESET: Armored Up

Description: All monsters get a +2 armor buff at the beginning of the game.

Most beneficial strategies are using all magic team in conjunction with a void armor. This is not available in this battle as magic monsters cannot be used due to the additional ruleset.

Next most beneficial strategy is to use armor piercing monsters or summoners like Jacek or Qid Yuff

Monsters that use poison are also very beneficial as well as monsters that shutter armor.

The Strategy

In addition to using a piercing and speed boosting summoner I further boosted my team's speed by using Countess Sinash and Supply Runner. Countess Sinash has the ability to increase the speed of all friendly monsters by one, while Supply Runner has the ability to increase the speed of all friendly monsters by one as well, so my team got a speed boost of four.

However, the Super Sneak ruleset was also in play in this battle, which allowed melee monsters to attack the last position directly. This meant that I needed to be careful about positioning my monsters to prevent them from being targeted and eliminated quickly. With careful planning and strategic use of my monsters, I was able to overcome the obstacles presented by the different rulesets and emerge victorious in the battle.

THE BATTLE

As we look at the lineup it is obvious that my opponent put up a very strong defense against sneak attack with self healing thorns monster and then another self healing monster and another heavy armor and thorns monster. He also used armor repair that is very beneficial in this case. We can also see that there are two melee attack reducing monster as well. This makes it look quite unpredictable and I am glad that his team is not fully leveled up for diamond:

As we can see my Tenuii Striker with 8 speed dodge and backfire abilities caused a lot of damage with backfire, this was my backline protection monster and it really paid off in the first round:

In round two there were 3 misses out of 4 attacks on Tenuii Striker which proved itself to be an MVP once again. The thorns are starting to take the toll on my team though...

Round three was the deciding round where poison took out the Cursed Windeku and we were able to get rid of the Harklaw as well as the Xenith Monk without loosing any of our monsters.

And round four was the final one where we got the win without loosing a single monster on the field:

Speed, dodge and backfire combined with piercing proved to be the winning combination here:
