Winning a triple ruleset battle that includes a Heavy Hitters Ruleset

RULESET: Heavy Hitters

Description:

All units gain the Knock Out ability.

Be sure to include a unit with Stun in your lineup to trigger the Knock Out ability.

The Strategy

The strategy for this triple ruleset is to protect against ranged and melee damage. My front tank has return fire and thorns damage with a shield of eleven. Additionally Astral Entity should be able to bring it back. In the second place I put a melee monster with reach and affliction abilities in order to stop healing on the opposing team tank. In the back I am protecting against sneak attacks with Pelacor Deceiver what has a return fire and retaliate abilities.

Additionally I used Weirding Warrior in order to take down opponent armor by two and amplify thorns and return fire damage. I also used Ravenhood Warden for his protect and inspire abilities.

The Summoner

Astral Entity is a legendary Chaos Legion summoner that removes two armor from the opposing team and provides friendly team with Dodge ability and resurrects one friendly monster after it dies.

1st Slot - Tank

Ever-Hungry Skull is a reward card that comes with a base three melee damage, four speed, eleven shield and one health. It comes with flying, thorns and return fire abilities all for five mana. This is a great tank in a ruleset where magic monsters are not allowed. For only $4 for a max copy this is a must have card despite being situational.

2nd Slot - Affliction Monster

Shadow Snitch is a common Chaos Legion monster that comes with base speed of four, three melee and seven health with reach, affliction and Dodge abilities all for four mana.

3rd Slot - Protect and Inspire Monster

Ravenhood Warden is a new soulbound card that even at level five where I have him delivers a lot of value to my team. It comes with a base speed of two, ranged damage of two and health of three for four mana. Most importantly Ravenhood Warden brings protect and inspire abilities to the field.

4th Slot - Support Monster

Weirding Warrior is an epic two mana monster that comes with a base ranged damage of two, three speed and three health. I played it for it's shatter, amplify and rust abilities that are important in the ruleset with no magic damage dealers.

5th Slot - Ranged Damage Dealer

Soul Strangler is a three mana Chaos Legion monster that comes with a base speed of three, ranged damage of four and four health points. It also brings a poison ability to the table.

6th Slot - Backline Tank

Pelacor Deceiver is another Chaos set rewards card. I chose it to protect against a potential sneak play as this fast monster has backfire, flying and retaliate ability. In combination with dodge provided by the summoner this should be almost un-hittable dealing backfire damage and having a chance of retaliation when it is hit.

THE BATTLE

My opponent chose Quix as their summoner nerfing my ranged attackers and reducing the speed of my team. They also came in with a strong thorns self healing tank that further slows down my team. And they used a speed up monster Naga Assassin. They also brought a very strong secondary tank with double strike Carnage Titan. They didn't choose a sneak attack so my backline protector tank will go un-used. It should be a great fight. Let's see who comes on top.

We didn't manage to land affliction in the first round, but our damage output was sufficient to take down their tank. We are down to just one shield on our tank, but it should come back with 11 after it is down.

In the round two we were able to land poison on their secondary tank which should be very helpful.

Round three was a deciding round where our $4 tank basically won the game!

And we pull off a strong win!
