Beer Tasting: Loo-Blah-Nah Little IPA and Bohemian Pils

Hello beer lovers! 🍻 😎 🍻

If you happen to follow the news about the banks, it's clear that they are going down and it's going to be bad, but the governments, through the mainstream media, are intensively convincing us that everything is fine. Well, I don't know if it is.
Anyway, I did a first poll on LeoThreads (for testing and fun πŸ˜€) and if you have a few seconds you can click reply so we can all check together if it works as it should.

Luckily it's #beersaturday, 286 in a row to keep the bad thoughts away. It's definitely easier with a beer. I have two bottles in front of me again, one with Slovenian beer and one with Czech, and I'm going to open them.

🍻 😎 🍻

Loo-Blah-Nah Little IPA

Brewed by Loo-blah-nah, Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Bottle, 0,5 l, alcohol 3.2% ABV, 25 IBU. It's Session IPA style which means hoppy and fruity as American IPAs, but with lower alcohol and less body.

What does the Master Brewers say?

A light beer of the Session IPA style with fewer calories and lower alcohol content. Nonetheless, the beer is full of flavor with explicit hop tastes that hint at tropical fruits, citruses, and spring flowers. The aftertaste is dry with a mild carbonization and a harmonic bitterness.

I've tasted quite a few beers from this brewery, most of them a bit above average, but I haven't tried this one yet. We'll see what happens.

The beer is clear yellow in colour, the head is average, and disappears quickly. It smells of hops. The sip flows smoothly down the throat, I taste the bitterness of the hops, very light, with hints of tropical fruit but discreet.
In the aftertaste, the bitterness also disappears quickly.

Very drinkable, at the same time very light but not watery. A little above the average of the Session IPAs I have tried so far. Just right for sipping in the summer heat. I could easily drink a few of them. It's available, it's sold in almost all local shops except Eurospin (they have the worst selection of beers there if you ask me).

The only thing that bothers me about this beer is the price, which I find very expensive (€2.80), for that money you can get top-quality brews of all styles. Well, if I had a choice in a pub between this and a lager I would choose it without a doubt.

🍻 😎 🍻

Meme? Not today.
Lest you think I'm just drinking, hahah, one photo of my work in the field this afternoon. After three months I was back in my field and as spring is approaching I started to clean dry branches, grass, and the remains of last year's crops. I cleared one-third of it.

In the end, I wanted to burn all this dry waste, I lit a fire but soon put it out (Atos was the supervisor 😁) because it started to blow very hard and there was a lot of dry grass in the meadow next to it.

Bohemian Pils

As for this beer, I have to admit I had trouble finding where they brew it. I bought it in Italy, in Trieste, in a Coop shop, when I had business in Koper, which is next door. It's a funny situation, because Slovenians, who are close by, go to Italy to buy groceries, which are a few % cheaper than here, but Croatians go to our shops because they are cheaper than theirs..

Well, I somehow found out on the internet that it's brewed by BudΔ›jovickΓ½ MeΕ‘tanskΓ½ Pivovar - Pivovar Samson for Italian retail chain Coop.
Bottle, 0.5 l, alcohol 4.7% ABV. It's a Czech Pilsener style, lager, hoppy with rich bready malt.

What do the Master Brewers say?

Lager from the Czech Republic is still brewed traditionally using barley malt and Saaz hops, together with artesian water. A full-bodied yet extremely smooth lager with a unique taste of herbaceous aromas and malty bread and cereal notes.

What I can say here is that COOP has better quality products than other places, let's say that too.

The beer is clear and golden in color, and the head is solid but disappears quickly. It smells of bread. A sip goes smoothly down the throat, and in the mouth I first taste the sweetness of the malt, not too much, followed immediately by the bitterness of the hops, which takes over. Fresh bread and a discreet aroma of chamomile on the tongue.
In the aftertaste, everything slowly disappears.

Drinkable and tasty beer. One of the best pilsners I have ever tasted. The price is also reasonable (€1,70). It's not available here, but as I'll have to go to Koper many times in the future (maybe I'll explain why one day), I'm sure I'll come across this beer again and it will end up in my fridge.

🍻 😎 🍻

And what am I listening to as I write this and taste the beers? One band I mentioned in my last #newtunes post.
Something new and fresh, electronica of the first class. Since they're playing near me at the end of March, there's a good chance I'll be going to hear them.

The world news regarding the economy is quite worrying, and we'll see how far it will go.
The polls in threads are great, and I just did yours ;)

And regarding the beers, it is very expensive that beer for 2,80 euros, especially if it is not a special one.
