Hello music lovers! 🎡🎧🎡

A new weekend and new listening suggestions. Well-known and lesser-known musicians, fighting for their listeners on every possible platform, offer you their new creations.
Listenable or not, it's actually a matter of personal musical preference. Well, for me, these are the ones that have stuck in my mind this week.

Maybe some of it will stay in your memory and you'll keep exploring. That is if you are willing to give up a few minutes of your time.
Why not? Crypto is stagnant anyway, but in the meantime, you can relax to the music. But nothing is mandatory, you can skip what you don't like.

By the way, this is the 134th #newtunes release!

Dr.Feelgood - She Does It Right

I'll start today's #newtunes session with this old song from 1975. In memory of guitarist Wilco Johnson, who recently passed away. Although not as well known globally, Wilco was one of the most influential musicians, and generations of British guitarists have built their lives on his sound and his electric guitar playing.
I first saw him as a 16-year-old tweener at the Tivoli Ice Arena in Ljubljana, and even then I was excited. The hall was too big and too cold for a couple of thousand audience members but we all had a great time.
R.I.P. Wilco.

Kutiman ft. Dekel - Love You Tomorrow

Kutiman is an Israeli multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and director who I have been following for years. He is best known for his "Throu the city" series of mixes, which went viral on YouTube. For example Mix Tel Aviv, Mix Hamburg and many more.
This song is from his latest album "Open", a Middle Eastern psych-pop trip and eclectic groove tunes for every ear.

🎡 🎧 🎀 🎧 🎡

Samuel Blues - Na Televiziji

Samuel Blues, aka Samo Pivač, is a Slovenian guitarist and singer, better known as a one-man band. He records and sings all his songs himself, analogously to a 4-channel magnetic tape. Standard Lo-Fi and DIY production from which interesting sounds and melodies are created.
I know him personally, I've filmed him twice, and I have one recording from 2018 on 3speak.tv.
Crooners voice, cynical verses, and rhythmic blues guitar. I compared him to Seasick Steve. That song is from the last album "Grunge Blues Psychedelia" in English it's named "On Television".

🎡 🎧 🎀 🎧 🎡

Roger Waters - Comfortably Numb 2022

The legendary Roger Waters recorded a new version of the song "Comfortably Numb" which is very different from the original song that David Gilmour recorded for Pink Floyd.
That song became one of their most famous, so the release of the new version surprised many. It was originally released on the album "The Wall" in 1988. The new version was recorded by Roger Waters and was inspired by a demo recording that the musician recorded during the lockdown during the time of COVID-19. His idea was to record the song in a darker version.
Although Pink Floyd fans may not be satisfied with the new version, it is certainly interesting that such an old hit can be heard in a completely new edition.

🎡 🎧 🎀 🎧 🎡

Menace Ruine – Pigeon Rain

Menace Ruine is a duo from Canada. A new name for me, but they have been making music since 2005. First with the basics of black metal, which was becoming less and less, and then they continued with ritualistic neofolk.
Now, on their new album "Nekyia", after six years, they have served us with more mystical, repetitive, and almost spiritual music, which can best be classified in the genre of the drone. Calm neofolk passages contrast heavily distorted synth lines, and above all this noise reigns the singer's melancholic vocals, heralding the cold winter and the inevitable collapse of the world as we know it. Recommended.

Horse Lords - Zero Degree Machine

Horse Lords, a band from Baltimore, USA, was an unknown name to me until I got into the so-called math rock, which sees the lack of lyrics as an advantage in the mixture of sounds from different instruments.
The latest album "Comradely Objects" takes its name from the book Imagine No Possessions (by the American art historian Christina Kiaer) which is about Russian Constructivism, a movement of Soviet avant-garde art that worked in favor of functionality and rejected preciousness and egoism in art.
Repetitions and polyrhythms, fusions and combinations of African brass bands, American minimalism, folk music, dance electronics, electroacoustics, jazz and rock avant-garde, drone, and free improvisation.
Zero Degree Machine, a composition named after the Japanese architectural movement, is a perfect example of this math, or one could say constructivist rock.
Well, for me, this piece is very reminiscent of King Crimson's "Discipline" in style and virtuosity.

Beabadoobee - Talk

Something new for me again. Bea Kristi aka Beabadoobee appeared on the music scene (read - she was noticed by major labels) two years ago and now she has a guaranteed career. Pop music and a child's dream world spiced up with adolescent and teenage problems is a good recipes for the masses.
Well, now 22-year-old Bea is no longer leaving anything to chance. Her latest album Beatopia, released this year, is multi-layered, playful, and melancholic, heavy at times, but definitely melodic.
