A Dark Night 🌉

A moon so bright..
In such a dark night...
Gives off a pale white light...
Leaving an eerily beautiful sight.

A night so dark
The difference from the day is stark.
In the day, one would have marked
Or at least been able to notice the vehicle parked ..

A means for escape, parked not that far.
It was hidden well, invisible, was painted as black as tar.
Yet the girl, adrenaline heightened, saw the car.
Anger, recklessness and revenge being her driving force.

She moved silently, using the cover of the dark to her advantage.
She picked up a gun, dropped by one of her captives and fired.
The advantageous position was given away, yet no need to panic, no need to fret.

For in that dark night, with a glowing moon.
The once preyed on girl looked at her handwork, with a beating heart, and a shortening breath.
For the driver had escaped, although he left the car behind.
He ran instead, an escape so quick, to the waiting arms of death.

To be honest, I'm not a poet, yet I don't know what to call thisnif it isn't poetry😂😂
A few ramblings perhaps?
I just took the picture of the moon and got inspired to write this short, a bit vague story....
