Finding great writers is a great blessing. A writer whose story can at least take you away from this world to another of their own making.
One where your able to actually interact with the characters, you're able to feel a certain kind of kinship with them and can relate with their decisions during an incident.
Those kind of writers and story are rare and that is the kind of writer @jfuji is and the kind of story Hunting Midnight is.

Now to be honest, writing book reviews isn't really one of my many talents or abilities 😂, but @jfuji, being an awfully great guy has given me permission to use his story to try my hand at this type of content.
So here's my at least mediocre attempt of a review of this masterpiece🙂✨.

H͓̽U͓̽N͓̽T͓̽I͓̽N͓̽G͓̽ M͓̽I͓̽D͓̽N͓̽I͓̽G͓̽H͓̽T͓̽ E͓̽P͓̽I͓̽S͓̽O͓̽D͓̽E͓̽ 1͓̽

P͟l͟o͟t͟

When an otherworldly being appears and starts blowing things up around the city, Alena Bisk and Deluxe Prime two aspiring restaurant owners, with help from the fireman Dack and his friend Fergus, are up against this being. At 2 strokes to midnight, can they discover and stop it's plans before the clock strikes 12?

Now that the plot has been put down the next thing to do is the review, honestly I think this episode was great, no flaws nor turn offs for me. Although there are some aspects that I would like to highlight, two minor themes that increased my fondness with the episode.

𝕮𝖍𝖆𝖗𝖆𝖈𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖘

In a story of any kind it could be argued that the characters themselves are the story, for if a plot is great and the characters are lacking well the book isn't all that.
In Hunting Midnight we're introduced to a list of colorful yet realistic characters. A true group that you can get to know and fall in love with.

𝕻𝖆𝖈𝖎𝖓𝖌

Another good aspect of a book, especially a series. With the pacing the author describes the timeframe, how long a certain scene is and how short it is.
Hunting Midnight utilizes this skill well, using great pacing to build up the plot and content. Building up the readers thirst for more and increasing the interest. I just have to say reading this first episode was a delight.

Overall I give this story an 8 stars out of 10.
An 8 because this is just the first part, there is still a lot more to come🤩🥳.
