A Leisure Walk At Mountain View Nature's Park

Last weekend, I have some errands to attend to in the city. My first plan is to have my health check-up because of some lumps I felt near my right arm. But sadly, doctors are not available on Saturday afternoon. Doctors are mostly having half days on Saturdays to the hospital where I plan to have my check-up. So I did, is to have a short leisure walk at Mountain View Nature's Park to ease the worried feeling I felt.

I arrived at the place around 3 in the afternoon. The sky is gloomy and gray. Maybe, it will rain (I told myself). To get into the place, I need to ride a motorcycle for hire (habal-habal) going up the hills which will cost 100Php or 1.84 USD per person.

The first impression that comes into my mind seeing the place is to have a great walk there for the place is quietly situated on top of the hills and its good to relax because it's very peaceful.

Great Entrance

The entrance is very impressive. The space is wide enough for the motorcycle and cars to pass by. Though it's quite hilly and risky for some motorcycles and cars which are not familiar with the place.

A lot of things you can do in the place, dine in watch the awesome view, swim and take a dip in their pool, reflecting your life for a nice walk, and celebrate moments with your loved ones and families together.

Before taking my leisure walk peacefully, I have to pay my entrance fee of about 50Php or 0.92 USD. Because I will not go swimming today, no need for me to pay for the swimming pool entrance. Just purely walking and reflecting on my life's happening.

Continue walking you will see a lot of flowers planted and designed creatively near the cemented path. It was quite impressive so I made a short pose before proceeding to the top.

If you are bringing with you your private cars and motorcycles, no need to worry because you will see a wide parking space in the place.

The Picture-Perfect View

After making several steps into the wilderness, I spot this beautiful area where you can see the overlooking view of Cebu City. I am in awe of how beautiful the view is seen from afar.

Still, life is wonderful for I was made to witness how beautiful this creation is. Life may sometimes face a lot of struggles but no need for you to give up easily. Think of ways how to make your life meaningful despite all the problems thrown at us.

On top, you will also see a lot of people dipping in their pools. I might not able to give you the best view of the swimming pool today because I am here for a walk.

A lot of people are dipping in the pool with their families and friends with them. For those who wanted to go for an overnight stay, the place welcomes those who are interested. A lot of available rooms here. The entrance fee to the pool is 150Php or 2.76 USD per person. With the best view of the pool, for sure you will have great time dipping.

Fascinating Nature and Flowers around

With the spot I am in right now, I made 10,000 steps already. And for me, that was a great walk. Sweating all over, I need to find space to relax and rest for a while before going down.

Luckily, on the top of the place, a lot of viewing decks you can check out. Viewing decks are for those people who are here for a walk or a little space for themselves.

While having a nap, I also spotted some students around. Maybe they are also having trouble and wanted to relax for a while away from busy streets and places.

It's good to relax and breathe. When life is tough, a little space is a need for everyone.

While going down, I took pictures of the different flowers planted in the place which amazes me. There are ornamental plants and flowering plants you can see.

There are different varieties of Mayana plants you can see around. With the different leaf colors of their foliage, rest assured it will give you a delightful feeling seeing them in groups. Mayana Plant is ideal for full sun exposure so that their leaves will give the best shades of color.

Another flowering plant you will see is a bougainvillea flower. With the pink color of the flowers, it is very eye catchy to the visitors visiting the place. Just be careful with the thorns that surround the stem. Bougainvillea is a variety of plants that may grow in very harsh conditions, like rocks or even upside down.

I am entertained by these Russelia Red flowering plants near the pathway. Because of the tiny red flowers around its stem, it was so amazing seeing and thinking of it as a Christmas decoration.

I was also stuck into this cemented structure which looks so real as if watching the plants around</sub>
It was so overwhelming on my part to see that lovely view while taking a walk and reflecting on life. So happy and relieved while going home.

How to get there?
Mountain View Nature's Park is located at Roosevelt Drive, Sitio Garahe, Busay, Cebu City, near the Temple of Leah.

By Motorcycle: There are a lot of motorcycles for hire (habal-habal) which give you a ride going to the top. The transportation fee is 100php per person.

By Private Car/Motorcycle: Set your google maps or waze to Mountain View Nature's Park. It will easily be located for signages going to the place can be seen.
