Moist Chocolate Cupcake: My First Time Baking in an Electric Oven

Hello, and howdy wonderful friends in this beautiful community. How are you today? I hope everyone is safe and sound after our Easter Season and long weekends.

Baking is one of my favorite past-time. During the pandemic, I usually bake my cakes and DIY pizzas in a cauldron to create delicious snacks and desserts for my family and friends. Joining this community, I got to read a lot of delicious and easy-to-follow recipes that I would love to try when I do have my oven shortly.

Connecting to others and being here in this community is never that easy. But I am proud to say that I am still here making friends in the Hive. From my intro post, one thing I would love to buy when I got to have my little savings is an electric oven. Because of Hive, I get to purchase my oven last March 2023.

During Holy Week, my aunt and uncle went home to visit my grandmother. With the thinking to make a dessert to offer them, I purchased all the needed ingredients and will try to make my first baking experience in an electric oven: Moist Chocolate Cupcake.

Ingredients Needed:
1 3/4 cups All purpose flour
1 3/4 cups brown sugar
3/4 cups Cocoa powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. instant coffee
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

2 pcs. large egg
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup hot water
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 tsp. vanilla extract

Steps in doing the Moist Chocolate Cupcake:

🧁Prepare all the needed ingredients and tools beforehand to make it easier for you to work on your dessert.

🧁Measure the ingredients correctly to avoid failure with your cupcake.

🧁Sift all the dry ingredients all-purpose flour, brown sugar, cocoa powder, salt, instant coffee, baking soda, and baking powder to avoid small lumps and small insects mixed in the ingredients.

🧁Mixed all the dry ingredients, and set them aside in a safe area.

🧁Measure all the liquid ingredients correctly.

🧁After measuring, mixed the liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients slowly with the use of a wire whisk.

🧁Preheat the oven to 160°C for 15 mins.

🧁In a 12-cup muffin pan, pour about 1/4 cup of mixture into the cupcake molder. This recipe makes about 24 cupcakes.

🧁After preheating the oven, place the two 12-cup muffin pans inside. Make sure to have a 1-inch allowance on every side of the muffins to avoid overcooked.

🧁Bake the Moist Chocolate Cupcake at 170°C for 25-30 mins. or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

🧁Let it cool and serve.

Note: I intended not to use icing or any frosting to avoid too much sugar for my aunt and uncle don't like too much sugar on cupcakes. You can have your filling or frosting if you wish to add it.

Not bad for the first-timer I guess, I thought to myself and smiled. 😄

Enjoy everyone with my simple recipe for Moist Chocolate Cupcake!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and support my blog. Keep safe everyone. See you on my upcoming blogs!
