The Richest Man In Babylon

Started reading a self help book. The title is, "The richest man in Babylon". This is the first ever "self help" book I've been interested in. I've not finished yet but I believe I will be able to finish this one.

It's been awhile since I first heard of this book. I can easily read a 500 paged novel but I've never in my life finished a 50 paged self help book. I always thought they weren't for me...as in there's a special breed of people that it's made for. Those people will read and get transformed and follow what the books says but me, I always saw it as BS. Somewhat along the line, it gets boring to me.

I probably fell in love with this one because as a novel of some sorts. George S. Clason , the author, started it with a story about Bansir, a chariot maker and his musician friend, Kobbi. Kobbi had come to Bansir to borrow 2 shekels and found him in deep thoughts. Bansir was thinking about how he had made chariots for wealthy men and lives in the richest city but still finds it hard to feed his family. They were both skilled, hardworking, lived in a good city but still poor. They then decided to go to a friend who they used to play with as kids but is now the richest man in Babylon for advice.

I've gotten nowhere yet but this is surely a good book to read. Hopefully, I'm able to finish and don't find it boring midway. I was just excited about how it all started and wanted to share it with you. I'm yet to really get into the book. So far so good and I hope to learn a thing or two before I'm done.

The Richest Man In Babylon by George S-Clason is an enduring classic that offers timeless wisdom on personal finance and wealth management. The book's insights into the importance of thrift, diligence, and sound financial planning are just as relevant today as they were when the book was first published nearly a century ago.
