Decided to come back with another silver round today, this one following the same 2-oz trend I've been doing the last couple. Well this one is not in the privateers series it is in a different 2 oz series that was released by Intaglio Mint

These were done by a private mint that is putting out some pretty sweet rounds. These are part of the Latin allure series that is inspired by ancient Roman societies are Latin culture of the era.

This round has two great saints a tie together. The momentum Mori means to remember that you will die, and this carpe diem is seize the day. Put them together and translate to remember that you are mortal, so seize the day.

Obverse - Memento Mori

This is a pretty badass skull design. The information provided does have a couple of significant design elements tied into the piece. There is The hourglass at the 6:00 time underneath the mouth to remind everyone that time is fleeting, and there is a crowned skull at the 12:00 time which has wings of Good and evil offering a descent into heaven or hell. They're also appears to be outward facing skulls at 3:00 and 9:00, with a couple of chalices or candlesticks at the 2:00 at 11:00.

Reverse - Carpe Diem

I actually think I prefer the imagery in reverse. Carpe Diem surrounds a trip to Skelton mounted upon a apocalyptic horse wielding a sweet medieval spiked flail. I think this design is much cleaner and pops better than the skull and surrounding designs on the front.

I believe this is my only 2 oz round from this series and I think there might be two or three more of them than a 2 oz design. I'm going to have to take a look and see if the other ones are worth picking up. I do believe they make a lot of high-end High relief designs with the same sort of skull and death imagery.
