Fall Outdoor life - great weather and fun fishing.

We've had some really good fall weather. In living in the upper Midwest like I do, you have to learn to get out and appreciate every minute of it since this is some of the best time of the year, and if you complain it's too cold it stay inside then you'll never get to spend any time outdoors.

I've been trying to get out and go kayak fishing and kayaking as much as possible, while still using the big boat in fact just the other day my oldest son was being pulled behind the tube in 56° weather and loving every minute of it other than the fact that he was pretty cold by the time we got done.

I've been out 5 or 6 times, but I have not caught much so I have not really posted each individual trip lately. I also haven't taken my camera long and half of them for some reason. This is just a collection of the pictures I did take for my most recent trips the past month.

Nice little Northern. Could have been dinner but let it go this time.

This is pretty decent little Northern that I caught, it could have been a small dinner for us but I decided to let it go. Mostly because we were not kayak fishing but I was fishing from shore from the big boat and I didn't want to try to keep it for a couple of hours before he went back in and I could clean it up. But it was still fun to catch. I was fishing the other day and a local college kid I just caught a 30 inch Northern right when I walked down had to be about 2 to 3 times as big as this one that was a really nice fish but he also let it go, as there is some silly rule at the local college that you can't clean fish in the dorms.

I seem to be catching some pretty small bass as of late, I'm not sure if it's where I'm going or it's what I'm using but I haven't caught anything of much size it seems

This is clearly the best smallmouth that I got, and might have been on the verge of a keeper if I had had a measuring tape to see if it was eligible to keep or not. It was the only one I caught on the day so I let it go.

Who wouldn't want to be on the water on days like this.

Days like make me want to play hookey and just go out on the water. Fishing might be slow but either way, its never a bad day to be out, on peaceful waters just crusing and looking at wildlife. Feeling like this is what I should do every, it feels like a more natural pace of life for sure.

Just wanted to leave this here at the end of the post. The fall is a great time for some of the best sun rises and sunsets - the colors are great and its seems to be at a time where I remember to go snap a picture.
