Drawing My old pet - Betta fish
Greetings, a long time ago I had a pet fish, it was a fighting Betta fish. I remember it was proud and of various colors. He was also very territorial. Today I decided to try to draw him, for this I used recycled paper, watercolor paint and some pencil. I think the result was good despite not having the best materials on the market. Without further ado, let's get started!
Process // Proceso
I start the sketch using an hb pencil, without many details, little by little I refine the strokes. An eraser template helps me to eliminate small parts of the sketch that I don't want.
I thought that drawing the fish from the front and turning to the left would give it a special touch. Once the sketch is finished I start applying the base colors. For this drawing I used watercolors on plain paper. That means that I have to take special care when wetting the paper and also wait for the paper to dry before continuing...
This part took me some time, because after each coat of paint I had to wait for it to dry before continuing.
Once the watercolor base is complete and the paper is finally completely dry, I can add details using a number 2 pencil.
When finishing the details with the number 2 pencil, I use the white paint and the smaller brush to give certain points and details in white.
The final step would be to highlight certain colors, for that I used a colored pencil in some areas.
Finally! Here is the result. see you next time friends!
