Humble Quarantine dinner. *Vegan*

Let's talk about vegetarian and vegan food in this crisis we are all living.

Either for ethical and moral reasons or health reasons People become Vegetarian or Vegan and live that lifestyle. Every day they have to listen jokes about it or being made fun of.

And now that the supermarkets shelves are empty. Everyone is coming and buying the already small selection of products for People with this types of diets.

Yesterday night we decided to have some Vegan mushroom pie with some green vegetables we were able to snatch at the supermarket.

Because even the fresh section that never gets touched is empty. On top of having People buying at bulk, they are saving it at home and coming on daily basis to buy the fresh products.

Next time You think about making fun of a Vegetarian or a Vegan or anyone else with a different diet just think about this moment.
That in a moment of panic You turned into that food to "survive".

You have more options. Next time You go shopping please think twice before You buy products that are "directed" to this People. Because for You is just another item to store at home but for me and for many it is what we eat in our daily routines.

Lately I have been talking a lot of buying food and the situation we are in thanks to the Covid-19 but I really feel that is important if we can educate each other. If no ones panic, everything will be running very close to the "normality".

Everyone will have access to food and there will be no one less fortunate than others. So please the next time You go out to do some shopping don't think only about Yourself. Think about Your family that live in different places, Your friends, Your neighbours, Your colleagues from work.

Because Your actions matter. And if You can have this types of conversations and try to calm down everyone. Assuring that You have a nice circle that will support each other You will see that everything will get back to normal sooner than later.

I have nothing against vegan or vegetarian food, but I lived that lifestyle for a long time (14 years vegetarian and then 10 years vegan) and my health actually suffered from it.
