Quitting my Job to dedicate myself to Photography
Celebrating it with some new photos
I have big news to share with everyone. Tomorrow I am quitting my job to dedicate myself full time to photography and creating online. I have been diving a little bit more into NFTs and I feel that now if I am doing it full time and really taking it serious I have the tools and what it takes to be able to make a living out of it.
It is a very serious and dangerous decision but there is not right time to make a move like this. So now it is as good as any other time.
I am the most happy when I am creating and sharing images like the ones on this post. Thanks to technology nowadays many people are already living their life and making a living with the art they create.
Don't take me wrong, I know it is not easy and I know the hard work that is behind it. The thing is that I feel that I am ready now to put on that work and I am ready to live my dream.
The build up
For many years I have been working online, with ups and downs. But I have always had an offline job, that was always there as a safety net. So either I would be successful with the works I was creating or not I would always have an income to support my living. Right now I feel that what I need is to not have that safety net, that will allow me to work even harder in what I create and it will help me to be more focus on my art and what I want to do for a living.
There will be no excuses, the money that I will have in the end of each month it will only be my responsability and my responsability only. No one else to blame.
The risks
I know all the risks I am taking with this decision and that's why it is a scary one. But I know it is the right decision for me right now because I am more excited about it than I am actually scared. I am not making this decision lightly or on a wimp. It took me many years to get to this point and I feel that whatever it happen, now I am ready for it.

You know that I also enjoy vlogging and creating video content. It is something really fun to do. So if you want to know everything that is happening with me you can keep up with that news with my videos. I will for sure will be sharing all the ups and all the downs. All the mistakes and all the lessons I will learn along the way.
It is all or nothing, right now I have decided to give it all of me and make this happen for me. Make my dreams come true and hopefully in the way help so many others to do the same, because I know how hard is this photography world.

I respect that you choose to do something you love. You can't really lose if you're loving what you do day in day out.
NFTs are indeed interesting, and I think in their current incarnation they have yet to be fully utilized in a way which is accretive to all parties involved. Good thing is, there are so many developments in the space and the demographic is evolving getting smarter which in turn demands greater "utility" with NFTs and people creating them.
We actually had a big discussion internally whether we wanted to implement a system allowing creators to mint their posts (and items within their post) as NFTs but ultimately decided that it would be a detriment to the novelty of what makes NFTs potentially value accretive to all parties instead of mostly a speculative instrument.
We are still interested in implementing NFTs in some manner as we do believe that they can be empowering to creators and consumers alike, but it has to be done right.
Let's see how it goes. I will work every single moment to make it successful and so I can make a living and pay my bills with what I do online. Thank you so much for the message and taking the time to read and reply. Yeah the subscription system you guys added it can be very helpful as well as soon as the community using liketu grows even more.
And for sure the HIVE blockchain needs a proper NFT space, specially one dedicated to photography. :D

I am sure that you will fight for you wishes and you can certainly make your talent shine.
Maybe the work was a burden that kept you down and now you can have more time to go after your dreams and goals
