Frozen Air and Fading Dark Walking Through the Quiet Magic of an Early Morning Chill

Hi everyone!

I have no idea why i decided to head out this early like it’s freezing out here! But sometimes you just need to get up and move when there’s no one else around you know?

The air is way colder than i thought it will be. It hits you right in the face and makes your cheeks tingle. I keep pulling my jacket tighter and rubbing my hands together. My feet are thumping on the brick paths each step makes a little sound that echoes a bit because everything’s so quiet.

The streetlights are still on making big dark shadows that stretch out across the ground. Every now and then a car drives by real slow or i hear some birds starting to chirp they sound like they are all excited waiting for the sun to come up.

Places i see literally every single day look totally different right now. The bricks that are just plain brown in the daytime feel smooth and look dark under the cool morning air. I keep looking up at the sky too a little while ago it was all deep dark blue and now you can see spots of orange and pink peeking up over the trees.

It’s like night is saying bye and morning is already getting ready to wake up. I totally lose track of time when im out walking like this. The cold actually makes my head feel nice and clear all the little things that were bugging me yesterday just seem to go away. Each step feels like im moving towards something new like maybe today’s gonna be way better than the last one.

I even stop for a bit to just stand there and look around everything’s so still and calm it’s hard to find that feeling any other time of day. My breath comes out in little white puffs and i can see it float up into the air before it’s gone. Have you ever walked this early in the morning? You had be shocked how nice and calm it is even when you are freezing your but off!
