I feel she deserves an apology.

Over the years I have witness being cheated, it got to the extent that I became so timid and lost boldness to speak up as a child. I disliked some elders because they used seniority to always proof a point. When they discovered that they are wrong, to apologize to me becomes a burden and being the last born I always have to apologize everytime. I always want to air my opinion at every opportunity but most times they bury my idea and left me heart broken. Whenever I couldn't take it anymore I cried my hurts out behind the close door.
After listening to series of motivational speaker and gospel preachers I came out of my shell. Anytime I know that I am right in any argument I will make sure my opponent understand that he/she is wrong and must take responsibility for their actions.

Just this concluding week, one of the food vendors dragged a student to the staffroom calling her a thief. This young girl started crying and said she has never stolen in her life. The old woman insisted she stole her money. After adequate investigation we discovered that the girl forgot to pay the woman after she has even collected her balance from the woman. Her thought was that she had given the money to the woman which made the woman to give her her balance. The girl innocently handed both the money given to her initially and the balance of what she bought to the person that sent her. After the money was discovered the girl apologized for her mistake and the case just went like that.

To me, the woman owe the girl an apology too, she judged her base on her experience with other students. She called her a thief in the public and dragged her like a slave. I aired my opinion to my other colleagues but what I got was the bad trend of how things are done in the society. They feel how will the elderly woman be apologizing to a girl she can give birth to.
I feel so concern because that is what the younger ones are learning. When they grow older they find it difficult to take responsibility for their actions. They hurt people's feelings and get away with it because they are older or they are their senior in rank. I could see why bullying is the order of the day. I wish I could redo somethings and just correct some errors.

I feel apologizing to the young ones will not only make us right but will also make them replicate it. Parents should apologize to their children when they are wrong, elders should apologize to the younger ones and seniors should apologize to their juniors to make us a better example. Let's take responsibility for our mistake and not just keep up getting the apologies we fail to give to others.

You're right, this kind of behavior can have serious consequences and the string has to be broken. Everyone has to take responsibility for their action. I don't recognize seniority, in my culture there's no such thing as the older are always right. Age counts fr nothing. You need to take responsibility for what you do.

It is the order of the day in my area. I remembered growing with my sisters and a one room apartment and whenever it comes to sharing meat I get bone or a very small size just because i am the smallest.

Living by example is very right. No matter the age gap between you and the other person, it is humane to apologise when you are wrong.

But, we are in a world where these things don't work out that way. However, that shouldn't stop us from doing that. Let's start our own world and let society see what they are missing out on.

Hello dearest fashionable dreemer. Happy New Day! I hope you are ready to rock the day because it is a beautiful day. So, please, enjoy the day, and don't forget to smile that billion dollar smile of yours because the world needs to see it. I waltzed in from #dreemport, for I am an amazing #dreemer. An awesomely made #dreemerforlife.

I don't joke with apology, I feel your pain because older people will just misbehave and think its ok. Me I nor dey gree, respect is earned. If you disrespect me you sef go collect insult after all it is your parents did not train you well that will end it and I honestly do not care. I apologize when I'm wrong and as I'm apologizing I make sure I don't repeat that which is causing me to apologize. People need to do better and we that know better shouldn't get fed up and stop talking. Thank you for sharing. #dreemerforlife

People who bring age into everything, I must say have the worst mindset. Apologies does not apply to only one particular age range. Everybody should apologize when they are wrong. But in the society we find ourselves today, people see it as normal when an adult claims seniority or maturity rights over the younger ones just because they are the seniors and not because they are wrong.

The fault is from the society, somethings shouldn't be encouraged. Seniority mentality has made many to become a god that people are worshipping
Thanks for stopping by.
