Fixing of Alluminum Windows in Our Site
This Morning the Aluminum Window Personel brought the Windows we requested for down to our site and fixed on each of the windows.
When I went round I saw them using pieces of broken Ceiling and plywood to hold in it. I was scared it would fall off. So I and my brothers decided to do something about it, so that it will be firm and tight.
So we set out to work and gather what we would need to get the work done. Few of which are:-
Shocking Sand (left over during Block Setting)
Cement (1-bags @#4000)
Hand Trowel and shocking-wood
Shovel
Bucket
Bricks (broken pieces of brick were used to fill hole and gap)
Piece of Foam e.t.c.
So we mixed up the Cement with Sand and water, while the mixture is conveyed with bucket and brought to each window side.
I fill the edge of each of the Alluminum Window with the Cement mixture, a friend of mine guide the back side from indoor with a plank so that the the mixture doesn't go to waste and is right fixated to the edges of the window frames.
After we have filled the window edge with The cement mixtures, I soak the foam in water and use it to clean off the stain made by the cement on the windows and dry the water off, with a celan dry cloth. Once the cement drys off within a couple of hours. The Windows will be tightly held and there won't be any cause for alarm that it might fall off, pending the time that we will do the plastering work of the building.
Here is how the window looks like now after we have rounded up the work,it has added to the beauty of the building, I am satisfied with what we did. I will keep you posted when we are ready to Plaster the building.

You guys did an awesome job. I noticed one thing I don’t quiet know though. Shocking wood. What’s it used for? I probably would’ve googled it up by the time you tell me but I’d much rather learn from you:)
In my area here it's called shocking-rub
It's made of wood used along side the hand-trowel, to smoothen cement mixture in-between blocks and for evening during plastering works
Oh I think I know what it is then. They call it a different name around here but I don’t remember what.
