Historical Habib-i Neccar Mosque / Tarihi Habib-i Neccar Cami 🕌

Hello, My Hive Family. Today I will tell you about my memories in the Habib-i Neccar Mosque, a historical mosque. This mosque is located in Hatay, so I continue to share my Hatay trip again. So much history there, all very nice. One of these beautiful historical monuments, the Habib-Deccar Mosque, is among the symbols of the city. According to what I heard from those around the mosque, it is a person named Habib-i Neccar, as can be understood from the name, who gave this mosque its name.

Merhaba Hive Ailem. Bugün size tarihi bir cami olan Habib-i Neccar Camisindeki anılarımı anlatacağım. Bu cami Hatay’da bulunuyor yani yine Hatay gezimden paylaşımlarıma devam ediyorum. O kadar çok tarih varki hepsi de birbirinden güzel. Bu güzel tarihi eserlerden biri olan Habib-Neccar Cami şehrin simgeler arasında. Caminin etrafında bulunanlardan duyduğuma göre bu camiye ismini veren adından da anlaşılacağı üzere Habib-i Neccar adında bir zat.

Again, according to the information I have obtained from those around the mosque, this person lived in the ancient Greek period, a person we will call the cobbler of the city at that time. His story is actually a little sad, but I want to tell it. In the ancient Greek era, three Christian apostles came to tell the people about Christianity, but the people did not believe in these three people and opposed them. Only a shoemaker named Habib-i Neccar believes among them, but the people kill these three people and Habib-i Neccar. The tomb of the messenger named John and Habib-i Neccar, one of these messengers, are kept in a mosque in this way. I have visited these two people before and I have visited them now. The mosque, like all our historical mosques, which attracted my attention, had a door. The door is really big and gives us the most beautiful example of stone embroidery. At the first entrance, there is the tomb of John, and a little further on is the tomb of Habib-i Neccar. But you have to go down a lot for the tomb of Habib-i Neccar. The reason for this is that the tomb is located under the ground, I think because it is here, I think that the mosque was built directly where the tomb is. At the same time, there are buildings in the courtyard where other courses will be taught and there is a historical fountain. When you enter it, you realize that it is not a very big mosque, but the inside and the lights resemble those big mosques in Istanbul. Especially the lights, just like the lights of those great mosques, we realize once again that this is a mosque that is given historical importance.

Yine camininin etrafında bulunanlardan edindiğim bilgiye göre bu zat antik Yunan döneminde yaşamış o zamanlar şehrin ayakkabıcısı diyeceğimiz bir zat. Hikayesi biraz üzücü aslında ama anlatmak istiyorum. Antik Yunan çağında Hristiyan olan üç tane elçi halka Hristiyanlığı anlatmak için gelir ama halk bu üç kişiye inanmaz ve onlarla karşı çıkarlar. İçlerinden sadece Habib-i Neccar adında bir ayakkabıcı inanır ama halk bu üç kişi ve Habib-i Neccar’ı öldürür. Bu elçilerden Yuhanna adındaki elçinin ve Habib-i Neccar’ın kabri bu şekilde bir camide muhafaza ediliyor. Ben de bu iki zatı daha önce de ziyaret ettim şimdi de ziyaret ettim. Cami de ilgimi çeken bütün tarihi camilerimiz gibi kapısı oldu. Kapısı gerçekten büyük ve taş işlemeciliğinin en güzel şekilde örneğini veriyor bize. İlk girişte Yuhanna’nın kabri biraz ilerisinde de Habib-i Neccar’ın kabri bulunuyor. Ama Habib-i Neccar’ın kabri için baya aşağı inmeniz gerekiyor. Yerin altına doğru bulunuyor kabri bunun sebebi ise galiba burada olduğu için kabri direk olduğu yere cami yapılmış diye düşünüyorum. Aynı zamanda avlusunda diğer ders okutulacak binalar var ve tarihi bir şadırvan bulunuyor. İçerisine girdiğinizde çok büyük bir cami olmadığını farketiyorsunuz ama içerisi ve ışıklar İstanbul’da bulunan o büyük camileri andırıyor. Hele ışıkları tıpkı o büyük camilerin ışıkları tarihi açıdan önem verilen bir cami olduğunu bir kez daha farketiyoruz.

This mosque is an important mosque for the city of Hatay and the fact that it is in a central location once again increases its importance as a place. There were a few columns in the courtyard of this mosque. These columns are also historical, but I don't know the exact history, I don't know why he's here. Bu cami Hatay şehri için önemli bir cami ve yer olarak merkezi bir konumda olması önemini bir kez daha arttırıyor. Bu caminin avlusunda bir kaç sütun vardı. Bu sütunlar da tarihi ama tam tarihini bilmediğim neden burada olduğunu bilmediğim sütunlar. Bu postumda burada noktalıyorum diğer postumda görüşmek üzere. 😊
