Always An Interesting Time on PYPT

One of the reasons I really enjoy hosting Pimp Your Post Thursday is how it brings people together with the common goal of sharing content and making connections. Sometimes we get to learn while we’re doing that. I wrote about one of those times it happened this past PYPT. You can read about it here.

Looking at Past Connections

Got me thinking back to some of the other connections made over the years of PYPT. A discussion one day about the blockchain witnesses revealed many of those attending didn’t know about witnesses, that they could vote for them or even who they were. The realization of how many people were not being able to take part in the chain’s governance because of lack of information sparked me to host what became a monthly show bringing the Witnesses and the community together and interacting.

During the first of those chats the topic of how to support and help newbies on the platform arose. While the chat continued the wheels were turning in @dreemsteem’s mind and within a few days the Welcome Wagon project had started. Her goal was to build a team to come alongside new people who showed potential and support them through teaching them how to function on the platform.

It was a graduate from the Welcome Wagon who went on to form another team that you now know as @theterminal where newbies and others are able to seek out help on how to thrive on Hive. @Dreemsteem has gone on to build DreemPort where any writer can come to get more eyes on their content, no matter where they write.

PYPT is Hosted on the DreemPort Discord

When I restarted PYPT last October I made the decision to bring it to the DreemPort discord as we are in alignment on our goals. Anyone who writes content any where is welcome to share it on PYPT.

Having seen the value in networking, the more diverse the group is, the greater the opportunity to connect, learn and grow. @theterminal encourages their members to take part and their team members like @thekittygirl and @jamerussell are regulars.

Okay, I’ll stop with the reminiscing and get on with sharing the results from last Thursday, Dec. 23rd’s PYPT.

How to Take Part

Everyone, no matter where you write, are welcome to take part on Thursdays at 12pm EST in the DreemPort discord server.

Don’t worry if you’ve never taken part in something like this. You’re welcome to just jump in and listen until you are comfortable. If you want to test it out, we’ll always help people to get started. It’s a friendly bunch.

The email will go out a couple of hours before the show starts.. that gives you time to finish up and post if you're working on one at the time.

OH I'd note realize that .. explains why the restaurant never understands me when I order it using the backward spelling. The things we learn at PYPT
