Exquisite Indian Dine | The Kalasa - Indisk Restaurang och Bar Örebro

When I came to Sweden two decades ago, there were very few Pakistani Indian restaurants. In fact, in smaller towns outside of Stockholm, it was almost impossible to find an Indian restaurant at all. But today, you will find at least one Indian restaurant on almost every street.
It's no secret that Indian food is becoming increasingly popular in Sweden.

In fact, there are now Indian restaurants in almost every city in the country. And it's not just big cities like Stockholm that have Indian restaurants; even smaller towns like Örebro now have 4 to 5 Indian restaurants, and the number is only increasing. This is thanks to the growing Desi population in Sweden, who are bringing their delicious cuisine with them. So if you're ever in Sweden and craving some good Pakistani or Indian food, be sure to check out one of the many Indian restaurants that have sprung up around the country. You won't be disappointed!
Our Favorite Indian Nepali Restaurant in Örebro
The Christmas season is a time for family, friends, and good food. For our family, that means Indian food. We have already eaten at three restaurants in Örebro – Khana Khazana, Chandni, and Annaparna Restaurant. Out of the three, our favorite is Annapurna. But while we were in Örebro this Christmas vacation, all three of these restaurants were closed.
Fortunately, we found a new Indian restaurant called Kalasa that was open,
So we headed to Khalsa, the new Indian restaurant in town. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious, and the service was great. However, the chairs and tables were not suitable for Indian food. They would be better suited for a coffee shop than an Indian restaurant.

When we arrived at Khalsa, the first thing that struck us was the wonderful smell of spices wafting from the kitchen. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and shown to our table. The menu had a good variety of both vegetarian and meat dishes, so there was something for everyone.

We started with the Fish Masala and Prawn Curry, and both were absolutely delicious.

The Fish Masala was flavorful, and the Prawn Curry was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of spices. For main course, we ordered the Chicken Biryani and the Palak Ghost, both of which were excellent.

The Biryani was especially tasty, with succulent pieces of chicken and fragrant rice.

We were very impressed with Kalasa and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good Indian meal in Örebro.

New Restaurant nowdays decoration not really suit for culture, seems applying modern architecture.
The good thing, the food delicious
You are absolutely right @anggreklestari the food was good, despite the fact that the staff was not familiar with the menu. This is likely due to the restaurant has only recently been transformed from Buns'N'Beans into an Indian eatery. Restaurant chef Jay Krishna told me that the kitchen is in the process of being enlarged, which will allow for the serving of South Indian cuisine in the future 🤤
