A little sneak peak into my cousins wedding! 🎉

I sometimes think I should be posting something different for a change and not just the pictures from the photoshoots. But the pictures lying in my gallery from the previous shoots just doesn't let me get away with it so easily 🙈 And I find myself spiralling back to these pictures. Honestly speaking, a part of me enjoys sharing my photoshoot experiences (at least till I run out of them 😛) and exhibit my work. I love how open this platform is to all the artists and how comfortable I feel posting literally anything that I've worked on. I love how I can showcase my work here among the best critics. And you guys have been immensely supportive and appreciative of all my work so far. If anything, it only encourages me to do better and present it here on this platform. So I definitely owe a part of it to you lovely readers ❤️

But what I'm sharing today isn't exactly from a planned photoshoot but a impromptu shoot from my cousins wedding. I just got lucky as I knew the photographers beforehand. So I managed to get few amazing clicks from that day. It was my cousins wedding and duh, we Indians are all about festivities. Indian weddings are all about colourful heavy wedding outfits, jewelleries, loud music and of course some delicious food. But off lately, Indian weddings are moving towards intimate ceremonies. The Indian wedding industry is witnessing a sea change from the usual customary "Big Fat Indian Weddings" era. The youngsters are revolutionising the idea of Indian weddings which are often opposed to by their parents and elders.

But we don't deny that we totally enjoy the wedding celebrations. It's the one time that the entire family along with the extended families come together and celebrate the love of the newlyweds. The wedding was held on the 12th of December 2021. The wedding events in India including pre wedding and post wedding events, lasts anywhere from 3-5 days. But our preparation began waaaay before the wedding week. The excitement in buying new outfits, jewelleries and oh the mehendi ritual, is unexplainable. Now for those of you who don't know about Mehendi, here's a little trivia on that. Mehendi is a form of body art usually drawn on hands and legs which is practised in India. It's a fine paste made from the powdered dry leaves of henna plant. It's believed to have cooling effect on the body along with reducing stress, headaches and fever, so it's applied on brides hands and legs before the wedding.

But there's more to mehendi ritual than just that. It is often celebrated as a pre wedding mehendi party, where mehendi artists are invited over to apply mehendi to the young girls and ladies gathered at the ceremony. This event is accompanied by dance, music and some fun events to entertain the bride while the bridal mehendi is being applied. The henna stains get darker in the next few days. It lasts for about a week till the wedding events are over.

Also a huge shoutout to this incredible photographer who was generous enough to make some time and click few amazing shots. Linking their profile here so y'all can check their work!!

The sneak peek behind the scenes of a typical Indian wedding the bride's attire is fantastic!

Now, for our poster/professional model. 😉
May I ask which modelling agency you belong to? The way you carry yourself while posing, and your hand placement are so graceful!

Kudos to the photographer as well for picking out such lovely locations your photos.
