Rising Star New Pack Opening & Card Giveaway - Win Buster (Ends Dec. 13, 2021)

Last week I had a @RisingStarGame contest and put up a Rare instrument card as a prize, R112 Bodhran.

Let's take a look at the rules for entry from that last post:

In order to qualify for this giveaway, please leave a comment with your Rising Star username and tell me the strangest instrument you have ever played yourself, or seen someone play in a live performance.

If you leave an especially great comment, I'll upvote and send you a slice of PIZZA too! I'll also be sharing my answer to that question when I post the winner announcement.

Entries will be accepted until December 4, 2021 and I will select one winner for this Rare card giveaway.

Next, let's see how many entries included the requirement to share about the strangest instrument they've played or seen someone play: 13.

There were no duplicate instruments mentioned and I learned about a lot of new instruments from people! The strangest one of the bunch was definitely the Theremin that was mentioned by @amaillo. I spent at least an hour on YouTube watching a bunch of videos of people playing that instrument.

The strangest instrument I have ever played is the didgeridoo! In middle school, I took a music class that focused on the building of our own instruments and we all had to construct a didgeridoo. The didgeridoo was invented by aboriginal people of Australia. One of the talents of expert didgeridoo players is circular breathing, where they are able to both inhale and exhale at the same time! It is a truly remarkable skill that allows one to continue playing the instrument even while having to take a breath. Imagine playing a bagpipe without the bag... continuously, that's the power of circular breathing.

New Pack Opening

Let's open up another three packs of cards today. Just like last time, if one of the Rare cards are duplicates for me, I will giveaway a Rare card! Please continue reading to find out the entry requirements for this giveaway as I change it for each one.

I believe this is the first time I have ever received an EPIC card when opening a new pack! It appears that Epic cards are between Rare and Legendary cards when it comes to their scarcity, so this is pretty cool!

Let's take a look at the Rare and Epic cards I received:

R119 Janine: 150 Fans, 75 Skill, 4 Luck

R113 Clarinet: +50 Luck

E44 Amy: 400 Fans, 200 Skill, 5 Luck

R124 Garlic: 125 Fans, 75 Skill, 3 Luck

Every single rare or better card I received is unique to me! I'm really liking the awesome stats that come with my first Epic card, Amy. Even amongst the common cards, Sasha and Molly appear to be uniques to me.

My current RisingStar stats are as follows:

2830 Fans
674 Luck
3518 Skill
79 Cards

It appears to be getting much harder to increase each level as I only went up one level since my last Rising Star post. I'm still hoping to hit Level 50 soon so I can acquire and use the Millionaire Card and start generating even larger rewards.

Once hitting Level 40, I unlocked the Record A Demo mission within the Local Gig Circuit and this is where I am focusing my attention now. This mission provides 400-1305 Starbits and 132 XP for each completion.
