STARBITS Market Update

The price of Starbits continues decline, nearly hitting 0.00004 HIVE each to the downside. This is despite the Million Starbits Card being discontinued recently in order to shore up the increasing supply of STARBITS. I think the only way to turn this decline around is a new game mechanism to absorb STARBITS, or a surge of pack buying from new players.

My own behavior has been to stack up my STARBITS until I have 100,000 to buy 12 new packs, and then I'll go through a period of time where I sell the STARBITS as soon as I earn them. I think of this as diversification and ensuring I get the best of both worlds.

I also recently went through my collection and listed cards for sale that had a higher than normal sales value, like seasonal cards. I had purchased the required Old Blud card for the Halloween 2022 mission but found the drop rate of the seasonal instrument cards to be absolutely horrific, so I gave up on that effort. I think I ran the mission at least 20 times and only got one instrument card out of it. Not worth all the missed regular mission opportunities for that.

New Pack Opening

Last time I opened a bunch of packs trying to get the Old Blud card so that I could participate in the Halloween mission, but I didn't get a single one from all those packs. So I bought the Old Blud on the marketplace and ran the Halloween mission nonstop for over a week. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth it so I have put Old Blud and the only Halloween instrument card I received up for sale.

Since I exhausted all my packs last time, I need to make another pack purchase today so I can open something new for this post!

In this new pack, I received a couple of common instrument cards worth 1 luck each and a Rare Robot Bassist card. The Robot Bassist comes with a cool purple background and sports 150 fans, 150 skill, and 3 luck!

My current RisingStar stats are as follows:

190 Cards

Level 74

Because the Halloween mission did not generate any XP, my level has not gone up at all since my last post. But, I am hopeful that I will finally reach level 75 by my next post! Then I can finish up the Local Gig Circuit zone and move on to bigger and better missions!
