It's Not Over

Holiday season is considered over for most parts of the world. However, if you're in Malaysia and other parts of Asia that celebrate Chinese New Year, the holidays seasons are going to continue soon. Chinese New Year stars on January 22; this will be the first day of Chinese New Year which is usually a one week holiday for those that are students. This celebration can last up to sixteen days and I'm excited for it. I love getting red packets (hong baos). For those that are unaware, it's customary to give red packets which contains money to others on Chinese New Year as a way to wish good luck for the new year.

What Do I Think Of Holidays Past Vs Present Me?

When I was younger, I loved holidays. It was time I could enjoy playing my video games, sleeping in, hanging out with friends and anything else that I wanted to do. I remember always counting the days to summer and winter break. I know most other kids felt the same way. Most kids didn't like studying but it's something that I sometimes feel we are ungrateful of. There's some places that never even got basic education and some kids even had to already start working from a young age.

For me even if there's still a holiday, life goes on. Now as a working adult, holidays don't mean much to me for the most part except for Chinese New Year. It's my favorite holiday and the only holiday in the year I look forward to since I get money and enjoy great food. Luckily I'm still fairly young, still under 30s, so my family will still give me red packets. Usually after thirty years old you won't get red packets anymore; you would be the one giving them.

I'm still working everyday regardless whether there is a holiday or not. I wouldn't consider myself a workaholic but it's just the nature of my work. I do administration work remotely for a business networking club and I also help out with my family business. Blogging on hive is another part-time work that I'm starting to take more seriously. I want to make as much money now I can while I'm young so I can enjoy more when I'm older and less able to work. I want to have financial freedom and not stress about money and to achieve this I'm hustling everyday. I even plan on blogging once a day now.

Conclusion

There's no difference to me whether or not it's holidays or returning back to work because I'm working everyday hence the title of this post "life goes on". I'm working hard because I know where I want to be. I thank @aruchard for this. He's a friend I made a few months ago; I consider him to be a mentor in crypto as well as someone I look up to that motivates me to achieve financial freedom. Now's the time to hustle and make as much money as you can to invest while the market is low (Not financial advice). Thank you for reading if you made it up to here!

I like your title, life goes on. We indeed need to try our best to make money at our young age so we can achieve financial freedom early. Making your own money is a different kind of feeling.

I wish we had the Chinese New Year here too so I can get red packets 😅.

Thanks. I tried to think of something else cause everyone took the ones I thought of :P. Well you can always make friends with those that celebrate and you can hangout with them. Maybe you'll get some.

Since you’re the only one I know celebrating, maybe we can start from there.😂
