Studying For Exams - What I Did

In life, everyone has had exams and they had their own way to study for them. Today I will be discussing how I studied for my exams. I graduated from Bachelor's degree in 2020 so I will be sharing what I did to study during my university time. I don't recommend what I did for studying though as it's not ideal; I'm just sharing my real life experience.
As mentioned before, I studied Business Management & Innovation Bachelor's degree from 2017-2020 from Victoria University at Sunway University campus. This means that I was studying an Australian degree on a Malaysia campus. I chose to study all my years at Malaysia even though I had the option to go to Australia to continue my last year. I chose to stay in Malaysia because it's expensive in Australia and in addition to that, I already have experience living overseas in America so I felt like I didn't need to go to Australia. I had about 5-6 subjects per semester so this means I had at least 5-12 exams per semester if the subjects had mid-term exams.
My dad told me that all I had to do was pass because in the end a degree is just a paper that everyone gets to show that we are "educated". I kind of agree with him there so I just made sure I passed so I wouldn't have to pay extra fees for retaking any of the subjects. I kind of agree because this barely pass wouldn't work out for some specialized professions like lawyer, doctor, dentist etc. With this in mind, my strategy was quite simple since I didn't have to aim for super high results which I think made it less stressful for me. A key to doing well in exams I feel is not stressing yourself out too much.

Throughout the years of studying, my strategy for exams was quite simple. I would make sure I attend all the classes that gave exam tips. Usually the last class before the exam, there would be a class to give exam tips for each subject and they would review some topics that could come out in the exam. I'm not sure if other universities did this but I think our university was quite spoiled to the students. In this class, you could ask the lecturer any questions. This was a must go to for me as it helped me a lot to know what exactly I need to study. After attending that class, I would go back home and write up a study guide on google docs with all the topics and bullet point the important things to know from each topic. I have a picture below of what this guide would look like. I would use this to study for the exams. I do this all the night before or a few days before depending on how much information there was to study. I did make sure I got enough sleep as well before the actual exam. I slept at least 4-5 hours and I would set an alarm to wake up so I didn't oversleep.

In conclusion, what I did for exams was simply to not stress out too much, attend the exam tips class, make a guide on google docs of important points for the topics and getting enough sleep. Please don't follow I did. There's much better ways to study then how I did it.

You are indeed extraordinary at doing it and in the end with such strong effort you will definitely succeed
Thanks man 😂. I'm done with studies tho so it's all good. Don't have any plans for masters at the moment
Attending classes helps prepare you for exams, you will have an idea of what is been taught.
I did attend but my body was there my mind wasn't you know :)
I also believe that scores on test doesn't really matter and what's important is the actual application of the things you learn when you were working but companies often look at those numbers so some effort was needed.
😵maybe the first job but after that they will just look at your previous jobs
It's a little different here since employers still factor that together with ridiculous amount of experience and yet very low wage.
o.o i see didn't know that D: good to know saydie :P
I wish you lot of success
Thank you . I wish for you too 🙏.
