Welcome Splinters!

In today's post, I would like to share with you a very cool and fun (for me) example on how to use the UP TO ELEVEN battle rule, which grants all units on the battlefield the ability AMPLIFY.

You don't know anything about this skill or you don't know what it does? Don't worry, I'll explain everything about it, so I count on your presence and let's go!

AMPLIFY Skill

The icon that represents her can be seen in the image below, it's like a diamond wrapped in two layers and well, I consider it one of the best made icons we have:

Okay, but what does this skill do?

It may seem a little complex, but with time you get used to it and it's easy to remember: it increases the damage done by 3 other skills by 1 point and they are:

  • Magic Reflect:
    image.png => Returns 2 damage when your attacker uses a magic attack.

  • Return Fire:
    Design without name.png => Deals 2 damage when your attacker uses a ranged attack.

  • Thorns:
    image.png => Deals 2 damage when your attacker uses a melee attack.

So simplifying, note that the base damage is 2 points for the three skills and with that, using AMPLIFY the damage caused increases to 3 points.

Of course, we also have a few more details about this skill set:

  • The calculation of this return is done normally, simulating an attack originating from a unit, that is, the damage returned by THORNS (melee) and RETURN FIRE (distance) is subtracted from those who have the SHIELD skill. The damage returned by MAGIC REFLECT (magical) is subtracted from those who have VOID.
  • You don't need to have 2 or more units with AMPLIFY, only one is needed, as the skill is distributed to everyone on your team, reinforcing this idea, the effect of AMPLIFY not "stake", that is, it does not accumulate.
  • The skill REFLECTION SHIELD, causes any returned damage to be nullified, regardless of whether you use it with or without AMPLIFY.

Finally, currently, we can play with 9 monsters and 1 summoner that have this ability:

Showing that we have good diversity, we can certainly surprise our opponents!

Battle

Now entering the battle part, the example I want to show had SUPER SNEAK, where the monsters that have the melee attack, focus on the last opposing unit and UP TO ELEVEN, with the mana capacity by 30 and the fire, water, earth, life and dragon elements enabled:

Therefore, I wanted to take advantage of the AMPLIFY skill that we would have in battle and with that I chose the earth element!

My team:

  • HILL GIANT: With a cost of 3 mana, its best attribute is precisely its life, so it becomes a cheap option in terms of mana cost and can play the role of a tank.
  • KHMER PRINCESS: I didn't have a very defined strategy, I just wanted to close the use of 30 mana and take advantage of its synergy with the summoner.
  • QUEEN MYCELIA: I use her a lot, because of her PROTECT skill that grants 2 armor to the whole team.
  • GOBLIN PSYCHIC: As usual, this one is for my tank's high magic damage and healing.
  • REGAL PERYTON: It has good damage with the summoner bonus and is my fastest unit, with its ability FLYING is a good answer against units that have melee or attack distance.
  • VENARI KNIFER: Here is the big secret of the game, having the THORNS skill, the return of attacks would be boosted in addition to having very interesting attributes as well.

Round 1

When I talk about surprising my opponent, it's battles like this that I try to exemplify what I mean. Despite the mana allocated in 30 points being an average value, my opponent came with extremely weak cards in relation to life.

I believe he didn't think I could select a technical unit that way, which resulted in a huge disaster for him.

In this first round, EXPLODING RATS and RADIATED SCORCHER died just for the return damage, ANT MINERS attacked and got half life and after ANTOID PLATOON, his tank being defeated, took the first position and also died.

In the first, 4 units of the opposing team had already left the scene.

Round 2

Already showing how it turned out, all that was left was LIVING LAVA and the battle was completely controlled in my favor.

Round 3

Just confirming, the win came in my favor. An extremely fast and effective battle, with the opponent controlled from beginning to end.

In this battle, certainly the idea of surprising my opponent was incredibly well realized. I believe he didn't imagine he would put a unit with THORNS in the last position, because as he chose the fire element, strong because of his physical attacks, I believe he imagined that I would also go melee attack units body and of little life.

This explains perhaps the EXPLODING RATS, not that it's bad, but it's risky to use them because of their low health. RADIATED SCORCHER probably to remove the armor with his ability, which leads me to believe he envisioned someone with high defense and maybe SHIELD.

Anyway, the crucial point was not having placed any units with defense against magic attacks, that also screwed his team.

Bonus

Finally, another good example when we have UP TO ELEVEN, after all, when talking about return damage, we cannot forget CURSED WINDEKU, here, I take advantage of its ability THORNS and the penalty of taking 1 life from the deathcaller, which boosts, say, twice its return ability.

We can also use the summoning combo with CABALIST, which has the AMPLIFY skill, thus enhancing the THORNS and with that, we can surprise our opponent.

Bem-Vindos Splinters!

Na postagem de hoje, gostaria de compartilhar com vocês um exemplo bem legal e divertido (para mim) sobre como utilizar a regra de batalha UP TO ELEVEN, que concede a todas as unidades no campo de batalha a habilidade AMPLIFY.

Você não sabe nada sobre essa habilidade ou não sabe o que ela faz? Não se preocupe, irei explicar tudo sobre ela, então conto com a presença de vocês e vamos lá!

Habilidade AMPLIFY

O ícone que representa ela pode ser visto na imagem abaixo, é como se fosse um losango envolto em duas camadas e bem, considero um dos ícones mais bem feitos que temos:

Tá, mas o que essa habilidade faz?

Pode parecer um pouco complexo, mas com o tempo você se acostuma e fica fácil lembrar: ela aumenta o dano causado por outras 3 habilidades em 1 ponto e são elas:

  • Magic Reflect:
    image.png => devolve 2 de dano quando o seu atacante utiliza um ataque mágico.

  • Return Fire:
    Design sem nome.png => devolve 2 de dano quando o seu atacante utiliza um ataque a distância.

  • Thorns:
    image.png => devolve 2 de dano quando o seu atacante utiliza um ataque corpo a corpo.

Então simplificando, notem que o dano base é de 2 pontos para as três habilidades e com isso, utilizando a AMPLIFY o dano causado aumenta para 3 pontos.

Claro que também temos alguns detalhes a mais sobre esse conjunto de habilidades:

  • O calculo desse retorno é feito normalmente, simulando um ataque originado de uma unidade, ou seja, o dano retornado pelo THORNS (corpo a corpo) e RETURN FIRE (a distância) é subtraído em quem tem a habilidade SHIELD. O dano retornado por MAGIC REFLECT (mágico) é subtraído em quem tem VOID.
  • Você não precisa ter 2 ou mais unidades com a AMPLIFY, apenas uma é necessária, já que a habilidade fica distribuída para todos da sua equipe, reforçando essa ideia, o efeito da AMPLIFY não "staka", ou seja, não acumula.
  • A habilidade REFLECTION SHIELD, faz com que qualquer dano retornado seja anulado, independente se você utiliza com ou sem AMPLIFY.

Por fim, atualmente, podemos jogar com 9 monstros e 1 invocador que possuem essa habilidade:

Mostrando que temos uma boa diversidade, com certeza podemos surpreender nossos adversários!

Batalha

Entrando agora na parte da batalha, o exemplo que quero mostrar tinha SUPER SNEAK, onde os monstros que possuem o ataque corpo a corpo, focam a ultima unidade adversária e UP TO ELEVEN, com a capacidade de mana em 30 e os elementos fogo, agua, terra, vida e dragão habilitados:

Sendo assim, quis aproveitar da habilidade AMPLIFY que teríamos na batalha e com isso escolhi o elemento terra!

Minha equipe:

  • HILL GIANT: Com custo 3 de mana, seu melhor atributo é justamente a sua vida, então ele se torna uma opção barata no custo de mana e que consegue desempenhar o papel de tanque.
  • KHMER PRINCESS: não tinha uma estratégia muito definida, quis apenas fechar o uso de 30 de mana e aproveitar sua sinergia com a invocadora.
  • QUEEN MYCELIA: Utilizo muito ela, por conta de sua habilidade PROTECT que concede 2 de armadura para toda a equipe.
  • GOBLIN PSYCHIC: Como de costume, este aqui é para o dano mágico elevado e cura do meu tanque.
  • REGAL PERYTON: Possui um bom dano com o bônus da invocadora e é a minha unidade mais rápida, com a sua habilidade FLYING é uma boa resposta contra unidades que possuem ataque corpo a corpo ou a distancia.
  • VENARI KNIFER: Aqui está o grande segredo da partida, possuindo a habilidade THORNS, o retorno dos ataques seriam bonificados além de que possui atributos bem interessantes também.

Rodada 1

Quando falo sobre surpreender o meu adversário, são batalhas como essa que tento exemplificar o que digo. Apesar da mana alocada em 30 pontos ser um valor mediano, meu adversário veio com cartas extremamente fracas em relação a vida.

Acredito que ele não pensou que eu poderia selecionar uma unidade técnica dessa forma, o que resultou em um grande desastre para ele.

Neste primeiro turno, EXPLODING RATS e RADIATED SCORCHER morreram justamente para o dano de retorno, ANT MINERS atacou e ficou com metade da vida e após ANTOID PLATOON, seu tanque ser derrotado, assumiu a primeira posição e também morreu.

Na primeira, 4 unidades da equipe adversária já tinham saído de cena.

Rodada 2

Já mostrando como ficou, sobrou apenas LIVING LAVA e a batalha totalmente controlada a meu favor.

Rodada 3

Apenas confirmando, a vitória veio a meu favor. Uma batalha extremamente rápida e eficaz, com o oponente controlado do começo ao fim.

Nessa batalha, com certeza a ideia de surpreender o meu adversário foi incrivelmente bem realizada. Acredito que ele não imaginou que colocaria uma unidade com THORNS na ultima posição, pois como ele escolheu o elemento fogo, forte por conta de seus ataques físicos, acredito que ele imaginou que eu também iria unidades de ataque corpo a corpo e de pouca vida.

Isso explica talvez, o EXPLODING RATS, não que seja ruim, mas é arriscado utilizar eles por conta de sua baixa vida. RADIATED SCORCHER provavelmente para retirar a armadura com a sua habilidade, o que me leva a crer que ele imaginou alguém com muita defesa e talvez SHIELD.

De qualquer forma, o ponto crucial foi não ter colocado nenhuma unidade com defesa contra ataques mágicos, isso também ferrou com a equipe dele.

Bônus

Por fim, outro bom exemplo quando temos UP TO ELEVEN, afinal, quando se fala em dano de retorno, não podemos esquecer de CURSED WINDEKU, aqui, aproveito de sua habilidade THORNS e a penalidade de tirar 1 de vida do invocador de morte, o que potencializa, digamos duas vezes sua habilidade de retorno.

Também podemos utilizar o combo de convocação com CABALIST, que possui a habilidade AMPLIFY, sendo assim, potencializado os THORNS e com isso, podemos surpreender o nosso oponente.

É bom por que pode surpreender demais, acredito que quem tem mais opções, poderia utilizar mais monstros com algum retorno, talvez com o elemento dragão da para colocar pelo menos 2 com thorns e praticamente mata so no retorno kkk
