Brown Ink Mess

Brown Ink Mess.jpg
It's the weekend which means I have time to journal. Today's ink seemed harmless enough when I pulled it out of the box. Boy, was I wrong.

It was not as smooth to write with and even left a huge ink blot on the page. so big that I even made a note in the journal that it was an ink blot mess and not purposeful. I imagine young school children back in the ink well and quill days would be familiar with this challenge. Of course by the time they would have reached my age they would have fine penmanship and have long since mastered the ink and quill with no ink blot mishaps.

It wasn't enough that the brown ink made a mess of my page. It also dripped all over the top of the bottle and subsequently all over my hands when I tried to clean the mess. Sigh.

I think perhaps brown ink and I are just not meant to be on friendly terms. I have put it back in its plastic bag where it can harm no paper or person again.

It's not just the ink & quill that leaves blotting mess and ink all over your hands. My acrylic pens are the same and I splatter and smear alot. The only saving grace is that my pens are water base and wash off easier!

Just like chalk and paint are an artists warpaint, ink is a writer's - keep writer.
